The pastas here are wonderful, the pizzas excellent, and the sauces are perfect. Have never had anything that wasn't the best....even compared to Brooklyn's!

Portofino's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria 7/29/2006

Portofino's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria is located at 3637 E Franklin Blvd in Gastonia, North Carolina. They are wonderful. It's easy to find an empty parking space not too far from the front door. The ambience of the restaurant is great. I feel the "love" here. The servers are super! They are patient and kind and willing to answer any questions you may have. I have always enjoyed going to this place, but this last time, beats all of them. They expanded their menu, and believe me, this Italian restaurant does all dishes just right. I am giving this place five stars; the food was awesome! more

Portifino's in Gastonia 7/16/2006

I think Portifino's is one of the best Italian restaraunts around. My husband and I eat out all the time so we know what's good and what's not. The service isn't the best but the food is great. We haven't eaten one item from there that wasn't. more

Portofinos – pretty good but nothing to write home about 4/4/2006

Good pizza and ok Italian are available at Portofinos. I thought everything there was ok – not spectacular but not horrible. If I had a gift certificate, I would use it but don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon. I’m very picky about my Italian food! Mostly, I like a good red sauce and this place didn’t have it. Service was fine and prices were average. more
