I grew up in Gastonia, and travelled from Gaston College to R. O. 's at lunch to have a-hamburger with BBQ slaw. A twenty minute trip for the BEST, and only burger like it.Now I travel 1 hour from Denver, NC to visit my mother for the same-one-of-a-kind burger & BBQ- because of the BBQ SLAW recipe.R.O.'s is now selling their slaw in retail markets-but it's worth the trip over to be served by the curb hops or inside at the original restaurant.No thin' could be finer, than to dine in Carolina-anytime.Patsy

I LOVE Rodis. The atmosphere is always great. The food is amazing. I could eat their chips and cheese dip everyday! The pasta is always perfect and the burgers are wonderful! I highly reccomend this place to everyone. There is something that everyone will love there.

Great food dont forget to leave a 18% tip or more of your bill they on shared tip plan. great food, need to redecorate been going here for long time needs to be bigger and price is high and everyone dress causal for price you think it would look like fine dining. so many cheap people go out to eat. i was on a date and bill was 50 date left 3 dollar tip, i offended because i know japenese custom on split tip he should had left 18 % of bill. we did not date after this.

It's hard to improve one the best but they never stop amazing me. Always there, in fact, I had a question about a duck and her nesting habits. I wasn't able to speak with the Dr. at that moment and sure enough before the day was out he called to answer my question. I've known of some that wouldn't call that day or the next day. Granted, it wasn't a life or death situation, but it was important to me. He took the time out of his busy schedule to talk to me. As I said before it's hard to improve on the BEST.

This place has the best service. Everyone from the time you walk in the door and are seated by the hostess to the server and owner, is so friendly. They are all attentive and truly appreciate the customers. From my experiences this is not the norm at most places. The staff takes care of you like they are the ones that own the place. (other restaurants should take note) Did I mention the food? Delicious. Try the house fried rice, firecracker tuna and any sushi. The sushi is the best! Great place. You won't be disappointed. If it's your first time visiting make sure to let them know. They will have many suggestions for you and help you decide on the perfect thing to order.

My mom had to call T Smith Plumbing while I was away from home, and he showed up on time, did the work that was agreed upon for the price that was agreed upon, and she said he was very courteous and easy to get along with. We haven't had any problems with the work he did, he cleaned up everything after he was done, and I would recommend him to anyone who's looking for plumbing services. He also gave her a 10 percent discount because she is a senior citizen.
Pros: Was quick to respond and efficient with work.
Cons: Nothing to say.

I LOVE their chopped BBQ, hush pupies and fries. You can get it with or without sauce, or even Eastern if you like it that way. Service is great, restaurants are clean and you can call ahead and get take out or order it at the door and it doesn't take long.

Alfred and Charlies BQ House is the best place to go for barbeque in Gaston County. YOu have to ask for what you want sometimes but waitstaff is not always on their toes. The best variety of sauces i have ever seen in my entire life! After reading the harsh reviews from other citysearch members i decided to check it out myself. Darlene and Alfred, the two owners of this awesome restaurant, are very nice with southern hospitality. I highly recomend this place. Good pit cooked barbeque, steaks, ribs, chicken of any kind, and banana pudding, you cant forget the banana pudding. It is usually crowded on saturday mornings, but it really is the best.
Pros: Inexpensive, Nice waitstaff, Good Location

this is such a fun place. besides the 2 miniature golf courses they have a ton of games to play. they have games for little kids to big kids and even for adults. this also a great place to have a birthday party. every kid gets a few tokens to play some games with.
