Steel City Sandwich Co

I ordered subs over the weekend, the doctors office I go to raves about the food. I tried a coupon and special ordered the subs. The experience was bad from beginning, Horrible phone service, not willing to recommend any food at all I even made the suggestion i was first time customer. Delivery service cost me five extra dollars, because driver had no change. I will never order from here again. Subs are very small, not much meat as compared to competitors. more

Employees were very rude and when called to complain was told it dosnt matter because they werent going to do anything about it anyway...RUDE. more

Whereas Erie native pizza such as Valerios, Barbatos etc. pizzas are bland and thick, Steel City Pizzas are thin and delicious. 1 large 16" pizza comes out to exactly $10 after tax. Not quite as good as milanos or most other native pittsburgh pizza it is a far cry better than Erie pizza. more

Their subs are fantastic. Their tagline is "There is no SUBstitute" which after having one of these bad boys, I'd have to completely agree. They are pretty darn big and you can tell they are made with care. I found a bunch of good coupons on foupons.com/steelcitypizza Their staff's very cheerful and fun too. Anyone from around the Pittsburgh area knows about the Permanni Sandwich. It's infamous! We finally got a place in Erie to simulate the infamous Permanni Sandwich!!!! While nobody can duplicate it exactly, Steel City comes pretty darn close! If you're not into the whole Permanni Sandwich thing you can always opt for a standard sub. They have a huge menu to chose from that includes subs of every type, pizza, salads, fried foods and more. One of my kids' favorites are the mini tacos. Their fries are homemade and simply to die for. The subs come packed full and can fill the biggest of appetites. The pizza is hand tossed dough. Great prices, delivery available, late hours and a dining area at their Peach Street restaurant. more

Steel city is a sandwich company based on good food and the love of Pittsburgh. While the actual restuarant on Peach St. has a dining hall decked out in every thing Pittsburgh, from black and gold stools to pictures of the steel city on the wall. They also deliver and the food is awesome! more

The Steel City Sandwich Company is a great place for takeout. Their subs are incredible and they are well known in Erie for their great food. They also have stands downtown which cater to the lunch crowd and if you see one, don't pass it up. It's a lunch you will keep coming back for day after day. The restaurant is clean and service is fast and friendly. more
