I would like everyone who goes there to be aware of the situation i am dealing with so it doesn't happen to them. A ""Friend"" of mine decided to use my carecredit there and they never asked to see a card or anything they just charged my account for a surgery on her dog i had no idea about. Then when i call them to get information about when it was and all the stuff i need to take it to court they tell me they can't give me information its in someone elses name. HAHA but you can use a credit card that was never shown to you and you guys never spoke to me about it at all. I am looking into what can be done about it on there part and the so called ""friend"" that used it is currently awaiting some criminal charges. I swear they need to be more professional about the use of credit cards there. more

Not really sure how to rate this vet. I took my cat in for a bladder/urinary issue and she was squinting in one eye. They sent her home with antibiotics and didn't do any tests. They said she had a gum infection and was probably causing an infection in her bladder. At that time, my cat was still eating and acting normally. more

Always take time to ask questions 12/17/2011

It is hard to loss a four legged family member. The staff gave us comfort, but we wished that things could have been a different outcome. more

Be Aware and Ask Questions! Is this really a ""Hospital""? 9/3/2011

Be Aware and Ask questions! While the Vets (Dr Goode and others) do seem nice, you may want to be aware that while this facility calls itself a Hospital, and they say they offer ""complete care"", i suggest you ask a lot of questions about exactly what your animal will be subjected to. for instance, they may suggest your pet will be monitored overnight, but ask if they have anyone on the premises who will physically be checking on the animals and at what times are they there?. you may be surprised. If your pet is being admitted for an overnight stay and you feel they should receive supervision, i personally suggest asking where you can get that type of care. It's my experience and opinion you will NOT find it here. I don't know what the rules are for naming a business, but i've always thought the term Hospital implied patients receiving 24 hour supervision in case of emergencies, but in reality, this must not be the case. My suggestion is naming it correctly, or at least something that does not give the wrong message. Is it a clinic or a care center? i don't know..but from my perspective, it is not a Hospital. Just my opinion. My dog passed away at this facility recently and only afterwards did i find out about the lack of staffing at night....and no...it's not even in the fine print for the waivers you sign. Neither my dog nor myself received much in the way of dignified treatment the I thought would be part of a HOSPITAL> i wish I had asked and i also wish the staff had given me the option to take my pet to a facility that offers that more complete supervision and care. I dont know that i will ever get over the fact I did not ask, and for me whats worse ....they did not tell me or offer -- that other care options were available and probably in order. The vet said they would monitor my dog overnight and for me, that sure implies they have ""complete care"" and staff on premises to check on the patients, but my interpretation was not right. Additionally, and to my horror, i later discovered dogs are considered ""property"" thus all vets and hospitals only liability appears to be that of replacement costs (value to replace the ""property"" (an animal of similar age/type/health) at most. Am I the only one disturbed by this? more

Extremely gifted Doctors and outstanding care 8/22/2011

I have been attending Eastgate Animal Hospital for three years now. This year when my 10 year old westie boy developed an aggressive form of cancer in his head the phenomenal skills Dr Fricke employed in surgery made a horrible situation as dignified, and pleasant as possible. His skill was amazing, his bedside manner and compassion are wonderful. A very kind and gifted man. Dr Phillips was also outstanding in his follow up care and attention to the sensitivity of the matter. All Doctors went above and beyond in their care and compassion to a heartbreaking journey. Everyone at the facility is excellent and I would highly recommend all of the Doctors and their friendly staff . more

Outstanding and Compassionate! 4/30/2011

I recently took my beloved dog to east-gate animal hospital for back issues. She has been very uncomfortable and at this time can not walk. Dr. Phillips was the first person I talked to at the Hospital and he was wonderful. He called me back asap and worked with me on payments for Sandy since her treatment was estimated at a very high price. When I had my surgery consulate at the Hospital for Sandy I saw Dr. Frick. He was Wonderful! He explained all of our options for Sandy and was so optimistic about her recovering it helped minimize the stress of losing Sandy. He never even mentioned the option of putting her to sleep, her which the 3 other vets I saw did and there pricing was outrageous. Although that is a option of course if there is nothing we can do for her and suffering is not an option. The other vets were nice and very highly recommended but would not work with you if you have income issues. Only option they offered was CareCredit and not everyone is eligible for that service which still leaves the person in a bind on how to care for there beloved pet. I recommend East-gate animal hospital to anyone! Wonderful Staff and overall wonderful Place to take your animals! more

Best vets anywhere! 5/11/2008

I have been taking my labradores to Eastgate for years. Last year my 4 year old yellow lab needed ACL surgery. Dr. Frick performed the surgery and altough it took acouple of months for a full recovery, he gave me back a puppy! She wears us out chasing her favorite toys. There is an honest love and concern by all staff when I take any of my dogs to the clinic. Roncy organizes a fabuous and awe inspiring rescue. Dr. Todd has become more than our vet, he's like seeing an old friend when we visit. I have recommended them to all my friends. Pros: caring and dedicated staff more

Very Customer Focused 8/7/2006

We have four Boston Terriers. Eastgate Animal Hospital provides excellent care for our dogs. Todd Phillips has offered to personally help us with the dogs, in an emergency, as any time of the night. One time, after the female had babies, we called him in around midnight as we were concerned about one of the male pups. Todd offered to personally stop by the house if we needed him. Todd also has the most incredible staff. They are very personable, know us and the dogs by name, and always make us feel valued. Eastgate Animal Hospital is just the best place to take your pets. Their customer service is outstanding! Pros: THE STAFF!!!!!!!! more
