We have friends in Cincinnati that turned us onto Walt's - what torture that has been! We have now driven the nearly 4 HOUR! round trip just to eat dinner there! That is how good it is. Everything there is OUTSTANDING from all the meats to the sweet potatoes, to the baked beans - FABULOUS! For a large family, get the "POPPY PIG", it is an excellent value and everyone gets what they want. Our only complaint is that we don't have one here in Indy! Absolutely the best barbeque place to eat - hands down!

I've sampled every bbq joint in Cincinnati, and I keep coming back to Burbank's. The pork is always tender and flavorful; delicious even without sauce. Speaking of sauces, there's something for every taste, from the sweet-ish red to (my fave!) the mustard-based hot southern tang. The side dishes are authentic southern cookin'; the sweet potato casserole is sweet, sure, but still tastes like sweet potatoes. The collard greens have just the right tang of vinegar. The Burgoo is a great, thick soup to start off with... I rarely order it, though, 'cause I just can't wait to get to the smoked pig-meat!
Service is generally prompt, friendly and courteous, and the bar is stocked with a good variety of beers. Live Blues 3 nights a week, too!
The true aficionados would tell you that there are wig shops in Memphis that serve better BBQ....which may be so, but we're a long way from Memphis! About 500 miles, I believe, which is a heck of a drive for a pulled pork sandwich.
Pros: Real Memphis BBQ, right here in Cincinnati!
Cons: Broke my heart when the northern kentucky location closed!

There are many different kinds of barbeque across the U.S., and Montgomery Inn is one of the best for its type. Slightly sweet, fall-off the bone tender ribs are my favorite and "usual" thing to get when I go here. Both the Boathouse and the original in Montgomery have consistently good BBQ, but I personally prefer the Boathouse location because of the proximity to Sawyer Point (you can walk off those ribs after eating!). A perfect place to bring visitors when they are in town, but be prepared for a wait! Both locations have takeout as well, a great option when the line to get in is too long. A memorable meal!

My daughter and I were in charge of acquiring an engagement ring for my son (her brother) who lives out of state. We had an idea that Peter literally ran with and the final product was magnificent. The beauty of the diamonds literally took your breath away. My future daughter in law was thrilled beyond belief.
Peter and Courtney possess a shared talent that has created so many beautiful pieces of jewelry.
You need to visit their store and appreciate their work.
Pros: Incredible selection, beautiful artistry
Cons: none

This restaurant is now an Encore Bistro, like in Loveland. We enjoyed our 39th anniversary their recently and had a superb experience. Scott our server was very knowledgable. Jason, the manager, visited our table and was very gracious. The portions were large and perfectly prepared. My wife couldn't eat all of hers and took a box home. I had the lobster ravioli. There is nowhere else I've ever had it before and it was tremendous [$16]. If you are looking for an upscale, relaxed, romantic and enjoyable place for a fair price, this is it! We even took a stroll around Wyoming with its gazebo park to walk off some of the the food and wine. We then went back for a night cap in their modern bar and watched the Reds win one. Pam was an enjoyable bartender. I think we'll go back for our 40th!
Pros: Service, food, ambiance, price
Cons: none

My wife and I held our wedding reception at the Phoenix, in the Grand Ballroom, and it was wonderful. While I am bias, it was the best reception I have ever been to (and I have been to a few of them). I am still getting compliments about the Fillet Minion to this day from our guests.
Pros: Staircase, Wonderful Ambience, Great Food
Cons: Expensive, Exclusive, No Hotel

We recently went to Don Pablo's on Madison Road on a Monday night. We had a coupon plus they were doing their anniversary dinner special. We had to wait a bit to get seated, not because they were really busy but just because no one was around at the front to seat us. I noticed that other customers after us had the same problem.
Our server was very prompt with refills and bringing more chips and salsa as needed. We had an appetizer, entrees and dessert and there was good timing in between bringing out each course.
The food itself was decent and better than I expected. I was nervous to go after reading some of the reviews, particularly those about the Newport, KY location. There are definately more authentic, tastier Mexican places around but overall it was good for a chain. The flautas appetizer was much better than the taquitos and the sopapillas were a nice way to end the meal.
We got a ton of food with leftovers at a good price, so that made the trip worth it.
Pros: good value with specials/coupon, lots of parking
Cons: slow seating when not busy
