best consignment shop, you have to see it to believe it! 1/15/2012

The next time you're driving down the boulevard, don't miss the little slice of Rodeo Drive known as worththewait. This boutique caters to women of all ages and sizes, from trendy to classic and from 0-3X. Forget the hassle of the mall when you can shop here and purchase a Marc Jacobs handbag and a J Crew blouse, all in one store! And the clothing is only half of the store! The other half is dedicated to gifts, accessories and so much more. There is a wonderful selection of costume and designer jewelry for every occasion that you won't find anywhere else. The handbags, luggage, and evening clutches are great quality and super unique. The gifts range from fragrances, journals, home decor and seasonal items that are sure to please. I highly recommend this boutique to any shopper that enjoys fabulous customer service, designer deals and amazing jewelry!!! more

Worth The Wait Consignment Boutique 1/2/2012

I LOVE WTW, as it's known around family and among friends, even friends outside Virginia. I've been shopping at WTW for as long as the shop has been at 3157 Virginia Beach Blvd. I've ALWAYS had great experiences. Susan, the owner, and her staff of lovely ladies, Marlene, Kelly, Carolyn, Barbara, Emma and Monica make me feel like family when I enter the shop. When my daughter asks what I want for my birthday, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day or Christmas, I suggest WTW gift cards. There's always something new and exciting in the shop. I work in a large, well known dental practice and I love wearing my new ""finds"" to work because the ladies...and some of the men want to know where they were purchased. I tell patients about WTW because I want them to have as much fun shopping as I do. The shop is open 7 days a week, which is another plus. I told Susan years ago, if she sold gasoline or groceries, I'd never have to shop anywhere else. Susan has fabulous Semi-Annual 50% Off Blow-Out Sales in Feb. over Valentine's Day weekend and over Labor Day weekend. I think I've missed one in 8 yrs. I look forward to many more years as a very content client. more

- not worth the wait 11/8/2011

I was going to be in VA BCH for the weekend and love consignment shops. Looked up Worth The Wait online before I set out on my 8 hour drive. After following the map and stopping for directions, finally found it. Soooo disappointed in the clothes and the owner/sales people NEVER acknowledged that we were in existence. They must have spent tons on the ""Shop"" and in order to pay for it have placed outrageous price tags on old clothes just because they have a ""name"" in them. I am a former consignment shop owner and let me tell you, used clothes are still used clothes. The jewelry, decor - beautiful. But believe me, conservative women are not iinterested in paying for Decor. Never will go back. Ladies visit Family Thrift in Va Bch - no fancy decor, but lots of Fancy Names. Maybe this is where they shop too. more

NOT WORTH IT 9/3/2009

I will never go there again! The staff is rude and judges you by what you wear and drive. We walked in the door not dressed our best because it is laundry day to consign some clothing. We had an apt then were called 1hr before the apt because the lady wanted to leave early. Then when we rush to get there she didnt even look at our clothing because of how we were dressed. She flat out said ""I don't take walmart clothing"" And im sorry but the shirt she had on was from walmart last yr and we had alot of name brands in our pile. This is the worst place i have ever been and the worst treated. I have told everyone I know to never go there. The way she acts is back in the day, If i were not white she prob would have called the cops. I hope she closes. This place was the worst. Pros: nothing Cons: everything more

Drive by as quickly as possible - this place is so dark from the ladies noses so far stuck in the air 6/24/2008

This places touts itself as a consignment store, but their two racks of clothes only take up 1/4 of the store. And don't get me started about their snotty attitudes. The sales people and the store manager have got to be the snottiest and uptight women I have ever met - and the sad part is that they don't have anything to be uppity about - the store is over-packed with over the top blinky items that only my great grandmother would wear (but alas...my great grandmother has better taste than that gaudy stuff). This place is definitely NOT Worth the Wait. Drive by as quickly as possible. Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything - horrible sales people and crappy items for sale more

Nice but ... 1/19/2008

I like the boutique but do find the employees rather snobbish. I was in the store while they were having a major sale and the owner was moving boxes and of course they were lots of people and she actually seemed irritated about it. I quit shopping there and started going online just so I don't have to deal with the employees and their attitudes. Pros: Merchandise Cons: Attitude of staff more

It's Worth Your Time 8/17/2007

I love Worth the Wait. It is my favorite boutique in this area, and a boutique for all ages. My 21-year old loved it! Yes, it's pricey sometimes, but what quality store isn't? Since its relocation, the merchandise selection has improved greatly. I also experience great customer service at every visit. Don't miss their 50-75% off sales. My girlfriends and I received some amazing bargains on some quality items. Be careful, however, in the selection of some of the jewelry and sunglasses. My daughter purchased Chanel sunglasses that broke - twice! Pros: Beautiful interior design more

upscale consignment 8/11/2007

The store is divided - part consignment shop, part upscale boutique. I have found some great deals here, it just takes a little time to search through the racks for something that you can work with. I got a really cute work outfit, including a ring and a bracelet from the boutique, for less than $60. more

Dont waste your time 7/6/2007

First of all, it is hardly consignment!! A few cons. pcs, but not worth looking through..Otherwise its an upscale boutique, ran by snooty women.I would say Im middle class, dress well, as well as my kids. I came with my 6 yr old daughter, she stood by my side the whole time. They just glared at me as if my daughter was going to contaminate the place. When I bought an item ,she was too busy looking my daughter up and down to make sure she didnt touch anything, to give good service. So unless you are rich and over 50, dont bother. Not worth the scrutiny, it is sad that people still act like they are better!!!! Pros: Pretty place Cons: Everything service, wouldnt call it consignment, upscale boutique too pricey..Go to Stein Mart more
