BEST RESALE SHOP IN ST LOUIS HANDS DOWN!!!! 8/21/2011

This is a WONDERFUL store!!!!!! Every member on the staff is always very friendly and helpful, and the buyers are great!!! You do not need a appointment to sell your items, and they work with you.EVERY person I have worked with there, which is everyone of them, has been BEYOND EXCELLENT! I am not sure what these other women are talking about, however I can testify you should NOT take their word for it,or mine for that matter, you need to go in yourself! EVERY item has a HUGE price slash versus dept. store prices, and I know as I shop the mall a TON! No one has EVER been rude to me at all, they are all a wonderful group of people that try VERY hard to make you happy.I have the utmost respect for them. They are a shop that has to compete with so many other huge companies and they are doing wonderful.I HIGHLY recommend them.I have found so many wonderful items and the prices are AMAZING! They have a great staff ,experts in each field from helping you find great clothing to other staff members that are very knowledgeable with high end jewelry and purses. Also every item is authentic!!! I LOVEEE this store, and shop here ALL the time!!! I give it 2 HUGE THUMBS UP!!!\r more

Good, but Pricey 2/12/2011

I gave it 3 stars because of the prices. They are fair for what you are getting, but it isn't exactly my go-to for a cheap thrift store. Good place to get high-end labels for cheap. This site gives a great review on it and others: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/7738584/best_thrift_stores_in_st_louis_missouri.html more

Prices 5x higher than other shops of this category 3/14/2010

Vintage pin priced at $39. Price at other shops $10.00($5.00 at an estate sale). Many of the used handbags, shoes, clothes and other items found here can be purchased on SALE(in NEW condition) at saks, Neiman or other stores for the same price(or LESS). Saks, Neiman and others do 50% off or MORE during certain times! I am not singing the praises of these overpriced stores, but if you are going to pay the price, you might as well get a NEW item , instead of a used one. Pros: Employees nice Cons: Prices Way Too High on MOST merchandise more

great clothes and customer service 6/13/2008

A great place to shop. The clothes are wonderful-clean, current, and upscale. I am always greeted with a smile, and the staff is very helpful. I have purchased some of my favorite outfits at this store. They also have jewelry, shoes, belts, scarves, and some really amazing purses. I go to consignment store all over the country and this is definitely one of the best! There is also a home item consignment store next door that is great with alot of merchandise.\r Pros: easy parking and open 7 days a week more

Go someplace else, not worth the drive 5/10/2008

I can't understand the high ratings for this consignment shop, certainly not best of MO, either for buyer or consigner. Store seemed to have the usual semi-dingy stuff, plus size 90's bridesmaids dresses, etc. But the consignment side is where I was really disappointed.\r \r First, several items I brought were rejected for 'season' purposes. These included a sweater tank from anthropologie worn three times, and a jean miniskirt from j crew worn also about 3 times. I didn't ask questions, just said ok and left my originally $350 cache cocktail dress and a beaded top new with $70 tags.\r \r Later I decided to bring some new things and try a couple of the rejected summer items again. It was sunday and I had to leave them. For about 6 items including a bcbg silk sweater tank, brooks brothers sweater tank, satin theroy top, and kate spade purse in good condition among other things, I was offered $25 cash by phone. I'd thought the policy was to sell and get 50% of price so this was a surprise. Not to mention low. I said ok but that I would take back the theory top and purse and they could adjust price. When I arrived to pick up they said they actually couldn't take anything, and gave me my SIXTEEN dollar check for the dress that sold. This was surprising, considering I saw much lower quality, dated items starting at $90.\r \r I don't overestimate the value of my old clothes. Things I know are older go to charity, things that are barely worn our outgrown I consign. I will not be bringing any other items to the shop, and I'd suggest if you are a younger (20s-30s) client with quality taste that you do not either. Chances are you won't find anything in the store and you'd be much better off selling items to rag o rama on delmar or on ebay. I've started sending things to my sister in boston where she can consign to shops who recognize quality. It is too bad there seem to be none here. Pros: seem to have high volume of merchandise, decent purse selection Cons: questionable resale/reimbursement policy, items not that special more

St. Louis best kept secert! 7/8/2007

Okay people, The Womens Closet Exchange is one of a kind. From Old Navy to Chanel for half the price. They offer you a drink and make you feel like your family. They carry more then Saks and they people bring them things from all over the world. Go Go Go!!! Before what you've been waiting for is gone. This place is amazing! Pros: Humm can you say customer service? more

High quality 8/30/2006

This is a great consignment store if you are looking for high end, professional clothing. The times I have shopped there, I never saw clothes that looked worn. They have a lot of clothes for the working woman. PROS: Clean and good staff CONS: not for everyone more

You can find great stuff here! 8/26/2005

This is not your typical resale shop, as they do carry very high end, brand name clothing. You'll find everything in pretty good shape and some clothes even still have the tags on. They sell clothes and accessories like purses and watches. Prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and helpful and will help you find what it is that you are looking for. It's fun though just to stop in every once in awhile and see what they have. Definitely check this store out. more
