My cozy new home:-) 3/5/2012

Hello, I just wanted to say that the people in Fred Wichman's office were extrememly friendly to me and put every possible effort they could to get me into a cozy little apartment(I fell in love with it instantly, lol) The secretary, Ms. Susan..gave me the keys to let me go look at it immediately!! My credit was/is not that great, BUT the office manager, Monique went above and beyond to help me...Needless to say, I move in two weeks!! I cannot speak for anyone else, but for MY experience..it was awesome!! I would totally refer them to anyone who asks me....Thank you guys for making me feel so comfortable and right at home from start to finish~ more

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! 7/2/2010

Fred Wichman offered my husband and I a rental home for a certain price. We were anxious to move into the home as it was exactly what we were looking for. However, we first had to rent out our condo. Fred encouraged us to at least submit an application to hold the property and to hurry up and get our condo rented. We felt uneasy about signing an application but did submit the fee. We rushed to rent out our place and had tenants sign a lease agreement to move in to the condo in 2 weeks. On June 21st, I called Fred in the morning to let him know we would be by to sign the paperwork on the house. He confirmed the price that he originally told me and the price that the property was listed as on their handout. I told him to expect us in just a couple of hours. When my husband and I arrived at his office, he was gone! His secretary handed us the paperwork to fill out. And in doing so said, ""Fred did tell you the price went up $400""? This came as a a complete shock and given the predicament we were in we were furious! They claimed the homeowner would not take any less. We felt as if Fred intentionally knew what he was doing from the beginning and waited until we were in the position to be forced to just pay more since we were to be moved out of our home in 2 weeks. We were never approached by anyone from his company in a professional manner to help rectify their error. Rather, a woman in a back office yelled out to us, ""sorry, there is nothing we can do."" We could not believe this is the kind of reply we were getting when they literally just screwed us. We made our way to the woman in the back who showed a lack of ownership for their wrong doing and was completely unprofessional. When I called Fred on his cell phone, he was quick to apologize and said he was at a lunch meeting and hung up on me. So there we were.... stuck without a home to move into or paying $400 more. We would never use them as management company after that ordeal. So in less than 2 weeks we forced to scramble to find another home. When telling other locals about this situation, we did not even have to say the name of who we were talking about... everyone already knew it was Fred Wichman. Apparently he is notorious for bad business deals. Pros: NOTHING Cons: UNTRUSTWORTHY SALES more

JUST AWFUL 3/31/2009

Upon moving in the apartment, it was NOT clean. Absolutely no cleaning had been done, we had to clean it ourselves! Walls, bathrooms, and carpets were NASTY. They ""forgot"" when our lease ended. It's impossible to get anything fixed, so don't get your hopes up. The maintenance isn't very reliable and it takes about 2 weeks to get anything done. They also went into our apt without notifying us to show people during our last month. They need to get their stuff together! We were amazing tenants, paying our rent on the 1st of every month. That wasn't recognized in any way. I suggest going through a different rental company. Pros: The rent was cheap Cons: everything! more

Get it in writing 5/23/2007

I had a terrible experience with this agency. The day before I was to go in to sign a lease and 4 days before I was to move into a townhouse managed by the Fred Wichmann Agency, I received a phone call around 10:00 a.m. from Bunky Wichmann informing me that I did not have the place. An offer was made to find something else and they would call me back. In the meantime, I had everything lined up to move in 4 days. I had to find something fast and I was not sure I trusted him to find anything at that point. I had to take another day off work in order to do this. I did not have a lease with the Wichmann's because everytime I mentioned coming in to sign one I was put off. ""It was not ready yet."" When I asked about the work being done in the TH, I was told it would definitely be ready in time for my move. This went on for about a month only to find out 4 days before I was to move that it was not true. Bunky Wichmann told me the owners decided to sell the place because they didn't want to put any more money into fixing it up. I did get my money back (1 months rent and application fee). I recommend that if you do business with them you should make sure you have it in writing and not just a handshake. Cons: get it in writing not just a handshake more
