Best

This is a great place to go during the week before or after dinner, when it's not too crowded and there's a more intimate feel to the place. I went before dinner one night and it...

Worst

This bar was loud & super pretentious. The music was good, but way too loud. It had a nice decor, however, in spite of the self-important people that populated the place. Pros:...

Great spot to chill, drink and enjoy the DJ. 11/25/2006

I still enjoy the V Bar - after all these years, but don't expect a club or anything crazy - they call it a bar for the right reasons - it's a good bar. My experiences have been good times with friends and the bartenders are always nice and most of the times easy on the eyes. The music is usually very good as well! more

Decent 11/19/2006

If you are in Las Vegas and you have the time make your way on over to the V Bar as it is one of the best spots in Vegas. Pros: Good spot more

good for people watching....not much else 10/24/2006

i don't know what the attraction is with this place...it can get crowded and there is no dance floor....just a good palce to drink and people watch.....not a stand out club with so many options in vegas.... more

Fabulous bar/lounge 10/5/2006

This is a great place to go during the week before or after dinner, when it's not too crowded and there's a more intimate feel to the place. I went before dinner one night and it was pretty empty, but it was the quiet atmosphere my girlfriend & I were looking for to enjoy a quiet drink with each other. Service was friendly and prompt, and the interior is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely would go back again, but not sure if it's the type of place I'd frequent late-night on weekends... Pros: romantic, great decor, service more

Beautiful Bar 9/6/2006

The V Bar is beautiful and ultra sleek. Don't let the bouncers give you a hard time about catching a drink around here. The patrons are about as good looking as the ambiance and the drink prices may get you to fall over with a heart attack. Not before dancing and looking hip though. Pros: Drinks, Bartenders, Ambience Cons: Door Hosts, Prices more

I don't want to leave.... 7/25/2004

Even though I plan to go other clubs and lounges, I always wind up staying at the V Bar to the a.m. when I'm in Vegas. The reason is simple, great staff and service, great vibe, friendly and interesting clientele, no obnoxious bouncers, no lines and no attitude. I was there when it was Hip Hop theme night and the place was very crowded. I will be back in December and guess where I'll be. Pros: The staff, Music, Clientele Cons: none more

Stop in for a while 11/3/2003

I think it's the coolest lounge in the Venitian, which is not saying much. Now that the Velvet lounge is closed, there's not much else anyway. Good place to meet up with freinds and start the night. No dancing, and a relaxed vibe make it best to start or end a mellow evening. Pros: Mellow vibe, cool room Cons: line, cover?? more

Pretentious 12/26/2002

This bar was loud & super pretentious. The music was good, but way too loud. It had a nice decor, however, in spite of the self-important people that populated the place. Pros: Good music Cons: Over-priced, Pretentious more

Not what it used to be. 11/14/2002

I am a local and this used to be one of my favorite places to go while on the Strip. I was at the V the last 2 weekends while friends were in town and I must say I'm losing interest. The decor is exactly what I like, the drinks are reasonable, sevice is good and the crowd is good but the music format has changed from acid lounge, techno and house to rap and r&b. The music is played way too loud for a club of this size. I appreciate the desire to have music loud enough to be heard in the hallway of the casino, but it's way too loud for a lounge. I guess my main gripe is that I had to listed to "Baby got back" on 2 seperate occasions! Come on guys, that kind of music should be left for The Beach. Pros: Decor, No Cover, Beutifal People Cons: Bad Music, Too Loud more

Vvvery chill-out 7/6/2002

If you just want to chill out and have a few drinks, this is the place to be. With dark and sexy interiors, you can choose to lounge around with a date or groove to the deep and funky house music being played. This is more of a date place than a place to pick up/be picked up. Dressing up recommended. Pros: Good house music, Lounge-Feel, Nice Crowd Cons: Small more

not what I expected 6/30/2002

I put V Bar on my list of places to try last time I was in Vegas based on what I was reading here. I wouldn't describe this place as a lounge really. More like a club, based on the volume of the music. Not that it's a bad thing...I was just looking for a place to have a conversation. This isn't it. Pros: good music Cons: bad for conversation more

Definately Lounge in the Lounge 6/27/2002

This place is great. Wife and I went on a Friday night arounf 11:30 pm, hardly anyone in the place. Ordered some drinks, sat in the VERY comfortable lounge, and with the hour, the palce was packed! I like Old School rap and hip hop (used to DJ in LA in college in the early '90's) and they played a perfect mix of old school and current hip hop. I'm not one to really dance, but I was on the floor all night, doing all the dances I used to do as a kid (kid-n-play, brass monkey, the whop). We stayed there until 3:30am and I wasn't ready to leave. This is definately the lounge to lounge in! Pros: Music, Seating, Layout more

The only spot in Vegas without neon... 6/13/2002

We came to the V bar and were relieved to finally find a place with hot women, stiff drinks and tight music. The staff all looked like they were straight out of a Ford modeling show and the vibe was sick. I noticed they were a little tight at the door with letting guys in, but that might have been because Ben Stiller and his crew were sitting in a booth next to us all night. Have Jason make you a "milky way". It was an incredible Vegas night! Pros: ladies, drinks, music Cons: not for the cheap, exclusive more

  • In Short
The smoked-glass wall around the perimeter of V Bar beckons passersby to peek between its gaps. Inside is an open room, minimally lit with amber lights and candles. Plush, double-sided chaises with beautiful people drinking brightly colored cocktails line the interior walls. A long, elegant bar with red back-lighting is home to generous bartenders. Soulful R&B and jazzy house pour over the crowd, delicately adding to the din of conversation.
