Salesman was very nice and courteous. It didn't take too long to buy the car. He let me hold the car there until my wife could see it. Thank you very much for the great experience. more

I have dealt with Universal Ford for over 15 years! I have purchased (3) reliable vehicles and used their maintenance department. I have always been treated very well!! All work was done in a timely fashion. I know most of the staff and they are always friendly! more

Thanks to all of you at Universal Ford for making my recent used car purchase the best experience ever! more

So far everything is good! 5/3/2012

Purchased a used vehicle that I saw advertised n Autotrader and they actually had the vehicle as decribed, and as a bonus they had just marked it down $2,000. Did my own financing so I can't rate that. Then they delivered my car to me and I live 75 miles from the dealership. Great customer service. Thanks again, love my car more

Runaround on Warranty Work 5/2/2012

I own a top-of-the-line Ford extended warranty. I took my vehicle in to have the air conditioning system/ heating system fixed on the extended warranty. Ford techs misdiagnosed the problem and only fixed part of the problem (for $100 deductible). Two hours later it didn't work ~ just as before. I took it back within the week. They want to charge me another $100 deductible because it's a second service call. more

Buyer beware!! 7/13/2011

I stopped at Universal out of impulse, on my way to another dealership- I should have kept going. The sales person helping me was high pressure.. I did like the car and the price was good, so I decided to stick it out. I will mention that the warranty guy was very knowledgeable, efficient and helpful- so it wasn't completely miserable. But here's why I'll never be back: A full 3 weeks + after the sale, I got a call from my old financing company: Universal had never paid off my trade in??!!!!!?!!! I was told my credit rating was in immediate jeopardy because of this. I called the dealership and it took more than 2 hours and 4 phone calls before I was able to reach someone who would deal with me. Evidently the check to my old financing company had just been sitting there this whole time. UNBELIEVABLE. Not to mention they were rude, short with me, no apology... Then, I tried to drive the car on a 2 hour trip. It broke down (overheated). I called Universal and was given the 1-800 number for the ESPBasecare Warranty I bought. WHen I called the number it said they were closed. I ended up paying $540 for a waterpump. thinking I'd be reimbursed by my warranty. Wrong. Since Universal didnt tell me to get towed to a Ford dealer, and I was in the middle of the road with 2 little kids, I got to the nearest Mechanic. The dealership declined to help me with this. When I got home I took the car in to Universal to have the seats fixed and check the overheating problem, and find out why the check engine light is coming on. I get a call saying the car needs $1800 of work NOT covered by by warranty. The car is not even 30 days off the lot!!! I told them I thought they should cover this- I went all the way up to the GM, but they wanted nothing to do with me. Their final answer was that it was a ""used car"" and they shouldnt be expected to cover that. They offered to pay part of the bill, but I would have been stuck with over $800 of repairs on a car I just bought. Thanks but no thanks. Since then, the car has had a battery problem as well. I don't know how you can treat people like this and keep your doors open. Buy your car somewhere else. Pass this one by- they are rude, dishonest and a shame to the name Ford. more

Giving Ford a Bad Name 10/28/2010

Scams, bogus offers and horse trading. This dealership does not have anything good going for it except maybe their location. They put out slick mailers which is good marketing, but once you pull onto their lot it turns ugly. I will never return to this dealership. They don't have a clue on how to treat a customer. So save yourself a trip and find another dealer that cares about your business. I would suggest Ford Inc should take a closer look at who they have representing them. more

Won't Return 7/30/2010

I purchased a 2009 used vehicle and during the discussion was the problem that there was only 1 key. What happens if I get locked out? They wouldn't budge. I asked for a second key, they refused. Finally they relented for me to go get one made and they would reimburse when I brought the receipt back. Well, I specifically asked for a key that would open the door and start it (not a key fob with keyless entry since I knew that would be more expensive). When I returned with the receipt, they refused to pay more than $5 saying that they only agreed to a ""dummy key"". In total the key cost $145, which in comparison to the thousands I just spent is nothing. Come on, I just bought a car from you for over $13k, and Universal Ford can't spare $140 more to get me a second key. I am not impressed. Get everything in writing because they aren't interested in customer service or keeping their word. Pros: has the car I wanted Cons: Not interested in making customer happy more

Universal Deplored! 6/24/2010

Times are hard. Unemployment is on the rise, Americans are losing their homes to predatory lenders, and the struggle to survive intensifies daily. Instead of choosing compassion, many businesses continue their efforts to pull the wool over our eyes. Cons: A con indeed! more

Scammers! 6/23/2010

I received a pamphlet in the mail from these people with a lottery ticket on the back claiming if I scratched off winning numbers, then I'd won $25,000. Well, turns out when I went in to collect that it was just a ""get you in there"" scam. I hadn't won anything. There was another lottery they wanted you to enter when you came in, and then you'd have a chance to win $25,000. However, NOTHING in the pamphlet actually said that. I read every word front to back, and it made it sound like a legitimate win just from scratching off the winning numbers. I was scammed so they could get me in there. These people wasted my time. What is it with some businesses these days that you have to lie, mislead, or scam your customers to get them to come in? Those are poor morals and I'm dissappointed in this company's partaking of them. If I ever want to buy a car, I would not buy from a business with such poor working ethics! Pros: non Cons: everything more

Dirty cars 3/12/2009

Buyers beware, if you buy a car from Universal Ford, make sure its clean/detailed BEFORE you purchase. We bought a used car and they promised to have it cleaned the next day, needless to say, they didn't do a very good job at cleaning. We have bought several used cars, and this was the worst cleaning job I have ever seen. Drink spills not wiped, food in the cracks of the seats, trash left in the back storage compartment, etc. Pros: friendly salesperson Cons: dirty cars more
