On a recent visit to Charleston, my friend and I wanted to do some ""vintage"" shopping and discovered the trunk Show on line. The staff was suffocating!!! They would not just let you look around and shop. About every 2 minutes one of the sales persons would say, ""You haven't found anything yet?"" or ""What exactly are you looking for?"" I repeatedly answered ""I'm just looking, thanks."" Very uncomfortable and we were not able enjoy shopping so we left quickly. more

Great place to shop and consign 11/9/2010

I have consigned there for years. The owner is always friendly and helpful. And I love their jewelry. Their stuff is very high end, but the cost is much less than other consignment stores and surely less than going to a jewelry store. They are strict about when they pay their consigners, so you have to put a sticky on your schedule when it is time to pick up your check. more

not reliable 11/4/2010

I dropped off 6 large shopping bags full of designer clothes and jewelry, including jimmy choo, gucci, etc. When I moved from SC and they did not want to mail me a check for my sold items since the owner did not want to pay for the stamp. After three months, they sent me a check for $44.00. Repeated calls didn't help. They ignored me and I never received a penny from them again. I would not advise doing business with this store. more

Has potential, but ruined by horrible staff! 8/22/2009

I work at a special needs summer camp. One of the highlights is a well-stocked dress up closet filled with donated puff-sleeved prom dresses and outdated clothing. I was shocked by the prices this store charges for the same items! I did find a few really unique dresses, and I was impressed by the jewelry. However, one of the employees made it very clear that people like me (younger people, perhaps? I'm still not totally clear on the details) are not welcome in her store. I will NEVER be back. more

Beware! 12/5/2008

Be very wary of consigning your clothes at the Trunk Show. While the manager is very competent, the owner is a nightmare to work with. You have to constantly drop in to try to get a check for sold items, and if you are even one day late picking up your consigned items at the end of the consignment period, say goodbye to them. This place is terrible to work with. Pros: Good variety. Good if you are a buyer Cons: Terruble if you are a consigner more
