ASK FOR MATT ONLY....\r \r I can't speak for anyone elses experience but my own, or for anyone else that works there but for Matt, who sold me my car. I was in one of the bad car accidents on Saturday (September 29th on I5 in Seattle) and totaled my Jag I was restoring. I needed a good running cheap vehicle, not an easy thing to do. Found a 78 Benz listed, no back seat but it was listed for 900.00 and for that much I can pick up a back seat for 50.00. Anyway, the car from the pics looked to be in great condition. Went to go look at it, charged the battery up and took it for a test drive. Negotiated the price down to $700.00 and drove home with it on the 1st of October.\r \r The only thing I've had to do with it is get some tires and throw some Lucas fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank (hey, its a 78!) and its running great. \r \r Like I said, I can't speak for anyone else works there or has been a customer there, but when I was between a rock and a hard place and needed some help and a car, Matt came through for me. He was friendly and courteous and understanding of my situation. \r \r Just ask for Matt and if there's a way he can get you into a car that's right for you, he will. more

Disaster , this place sets a new standard of BAD used car store . They take advantage of the people in the worst ways. If you have made the mistake of dealing with them and are now reading this , contact the A.G.( Attorney General ) or attorney , depending on your loss. Hopefully they will be stopped soon. more

Total Scam Artists!! Beware!! more

Total ripoff! I got a car from this guys for $2800 and so far a month later I spent another $1700.00 trying to keep it running. The Dealer and the mechanic shop that works for this guys are total scammers that will say and do anything to get your money and as soon as you leave their lot you are no longer of value to them and will try to avoid talking to you if you are having problems with the car you purchase. I'm a single mother trying to keep my three children fed with my minimum wage salary. so taking this much money from me shows the type of people they are, they don't care a bit about anyone other than making their money and if you lose your job because you can't get to work, trust me they won't lose any sleep over your problems. \r \r I got ripped off by the owner of this car lot for over $4500 dls and counting now, don't let this happen to you more

I worked with the finance manager, i.e., ""the good John"". He negotiated a really great deal on a used Chevy Venture van for me. I am really happy with the purchase and it was real easy working with them. They didn't harass me and they didn't fight with me. Overall, it was a nice, easy experience. Don’t buy a car from sunset cars of Renton. They treat their customer bad. \r I got a truck from them. (found a pipe you smoke illegel stuff in it on their property) I took the truck back the manger said no problem I will find you a new truck. Then pressured me into buying that truck If I don’t get this now I will lose my finance and wont be able to get anything. Dumb me I sign the papers. But the manger kept telling me I will find you a truck. They fired the manger. Then the new manger said they would not honor what the old manger said. Even though he knows what the old manger said. They will take the truck back but won’t give me my down payment back. Don’t buy from Sunset Cars.\r Pros: I give no stars But website made me chose one. Cons: Bad Manger. more
