Stonecrest at Piper Glen

It's just your average suburban shopping center, with decent chain restaurants, a few overpriced boutiques and a movie theater. I'm from Miami, Florida where these types of shopping centers are a dime a dozen, so I wasn't impressed. I frequent the Target, Harris Teeters and the Borders book store. I also agree with the post about the driving. Drive slow and defensively in the parking lot. more

When I first moved to Charlotte 3 years ago, Stonecrest was great. Convienient and is basically a one stop errand shopping center. But over the last 3 years it has become WAY TOO CROWDED. \r \r NOONE knows how to stop at the stop signs or much less know how to use a 4 way stop-sign. And on the weekends if you want to go enjoy a nice night with your husband/spouse/etc... it's FLOCKED by teenagers. \r \r My daughter heard a group of boys saying the word ""f---"" - and said it in the middle of the restaurant we were eating dinner in. I do wish they would do something about the teenagers taking it over at night on the weekends. Pros: one stop errand shopping, variety of stores. Cons: tons of teenagers and middleschoolers on the weekend, no one understands how stop signs work. more

I love Stoncrest! Great shops (shoes, clothing, food, restaurants etc) in a beautifully landscaped and upscale setting. The fountain at Dean & Deluca's is great to sit at and chat with friends. Pros: beautiful, diverse, convenient Cons: none, none, none! more
