I have been taking my two daughters to Stephanie's for Prom dresses and Homecoming dresses for 8 years. Every single time we go there has proven to be a wonderful experience. All the ladies are so very kind and caring, as well as knowledgeable about fashions and what looks best on each customer. We have always had positive experiences, right down to the alterations! Recently, I needed a mother of the bride dress and sure enough they pulled out the perfect one for me! I would have never tried it on, but my children ( and everyone in the place) knew right away it was the perfect match. I love it. The wedding is this weekend. Suddenly three days ago, I realized that I lost a lot of weight. Panicked, I called Stephanie' s to see if they could help. They not only took me that day, but had the dress done by today! I just picked it up and it really looks beautiful. They calmed my nerves and got the job done without a blink. I highly recommend this business ! When you walk in the bridal store you feel welcomed as if it were by your own family. The owners who are sisters remind me of my own and they are caring and so sweet. There is a wide variety of dresses for any budget. I had a special color from the Alfred Angelo collection in a teal and it was ordered and turned out perfectly. They assisted me with dresses to help fit my figure and flatter my curves. The staff and owners are so polite and I am so glad I had such an amazing experience picking out my wedding gown. I will be coming back for years to come. The free tailoring and dying service was wonderful-especially since other stores charge for that service. When I came back I had lost over 40 lbs for my final dress fitting and they took in the dress and you could never tell it was about three sizes too large. Stephanie's Bridal is a great shop in a cute town in Pennsburg, PA. I would never go to a David's Bridal and just be a number when here you feel like you are the only bride shopping. The prices are great and the customer service is impeccable. *Highly recommended ladies!* more

Well, I have read all of the reviews on many different sites regarding Stephanie's Bridal and I can tell you I laughed a lot. Its very clear that if your reading a good review an employee or family member must have written it. Its curious how all of the bad reviews all read the same. I wish I had read them before I walked in the store. My story is similar to most of the bad reviews written on other sites. From the minute I gave them my deposit I got nothing but a sweet ""go to hell "" from everyone in there. The first dress I ordered didn't fit. The second dress was $100.00 more but no one knew the price until the final payment was due, even after I asked several times for the price. They were going to dye my shoes and have them ready for my 1st fitting, but when I got there for the fitting guess what? They couldn't dye them and never thought to call me. I had to buy an over priced pair from them in order to continue my fitting. They didn't have my correct size in stock, but assured me they would order my size and call me the minute they came in so I could try them on. Lo and behold, I went in for my final fitting and the young girl said, "" We got your shoes but forgot to call you. Lets just hope they fit!."" As it turns out, the shoes were the least of my problems since now the dress still didn't fit. Even though the dress obviously didn't fit, the owner and her helper assured me that I ""looked beautiful."" I asked, ""Am I the only one that sees these big bulges in the dress?"" They replied, ""We see them but you look beautiful anyway!"" The owner assured me that they did nothing to cause the dress to bulge, so she could do nothing to help me. Knowing that this store had my money and had no interest in how I looked for my wedding, I took the dress and left the store. I took the dress to a seamstress who was able fix the bottom of the dress so that both sides were even and also was able to help some with the lining which was too tight due to Stephanie's taking in the dress. Thanks to the seamstress who helped me (Chun in Hatfield, across from the old Snyders Square, she rocks!!!) and NO thanks to Stephanie's, my wedding went perfectly and my dress ended up fitting pretty well, but i wouldn't let my worst enemy buy a rag to wash their car with from this place. If I could give them a negative number of stars I would. more

I have to say that i have been in a lot of weddings and getting my entire wedding party through stephanies bridal was the best choice i could have ever made. The staff really goes out of their way to make you feel at home. They have a wonderful selection of dresses to choose from at affordable prices and the alterations were perfect. Ever single person involved in my bridal party was pleased with the shop and service and i would encourage anyone getting married to go to stephanies! more

Went to Stephanie's yesterday to get a wedding dress for my future daughter in law Not only did she get the dress of her dreams we had a great time. We were given personal attention by Rachel who was very friendly and knowledgable. The whole atmosphere was one of friends getting together to try on clothes not of just making a sale. I look forward to bringing my grand daughters to Stephanie's in the future for their prom dresses and wedding dresses. It was definatley worth the drive from Philly more

I am someone who trys to use local business instead of large companies. Being invited to a few recent wedding, (3) all of the bridemaid dresses have been from Stephanie's. When it was time for me to look, I convienced my bridemaids to go to Stephanie's, overlooking what they had already heard about them. The lady who helped us, had no idea on what she was doing. I later found out the colors we were looking at were not even for the same fabric and designer of the dresses the girls had on. They called to confirm the colors 2 weeks after the deposit was given! They were never ordered. Shoes! Again overlooking my experience with the dresses, we went looking at shoes. After picking shoes out, they order half of them, with the other half being discontinued. Even having stressed I wanted all the shoes the same. So be prepared for whatever they tell you in the store to get your money, you will get 2-3 phones calls with problems afterwards. The staff has a ""oh well"" approach to your problems. But don't forget to leave that DEPOSIT! more

I have been going to Stephanie's Bridal for several years and have gotten several bridesmaid dresses from them. I have nothing but excellent things to say about them! The owners are extremely helpful and go above and beyond to make their clients happy. I recently purchased my wedding dress from them, and once again they did not disappoint. Not only did they specially order a dress in for me that I wanted, they also worked hard tailoring the dress to fit my body type. The seamstress spent many hours working on the dress to make sure it would compliment my figure, and didn't even charge me extra! They even went the extra mile and made suggestions of embellishments to the dress that would make it even more beautiful. I have complete faith in this shop, they do excellent work and are wonderful to work with. I recommend them to all of my friends and highly encourage everyone to go check them out. I just wish I had more weddings to go to so I could buy more dresses from them:) more

I have shopped at Stephanie's several times over the years for almost all of my formal dress needs. From proms to wedding gowns to bridesmaid dresses, Stephanie's always makes the experience fun and satisfying. They've been extremely accomodating and very helpful with suggestions on what types of dresses would look best on me. I reccommend them to anyone who needs a dress for any formal occasion. We are only having a 6 month engagement so we rushed to start planning. We went to Stephanie's because my mother swears by the place... I think she bought her dress there. I found bridesmaid dresses in a perfect color! We were informed we needed to get the bridesmaids in ASAP to be fitted so they could order the dresses since it takes almost 3 months to arrive. The girls made it in within a week or 2 for fittings. The deposits were placed promptly to give time for the dresses to arrive and to allow time for alterations, and ours were a little tricky. About 6 weeks later I get a call from there with a mix up about ordering... it was a pain but not a big deal... what I'm more concerned with is exactly why it took 6-8 weeks from those deposits to place my order!!! Don't brides have have enough to worry about without stressing over if the dresses will arrive and be altered in time for the wedding?! Pros: some nice dresses. free alterations. good hrs. If you are looking for a good experience of finding the wedding gown of your dreams....then DO NOT go to Stephanie's Bridal in Pennsburg. The staff is horrible. I had found a gown that I wanted from Stephanie's so I made an appointment to go try it on and order it. When I got there I had put the dress on and was looking at a shoe book while the seamstress was working on a girl's bridesmaid dress. While this was going on the rest of the bridal party came in. Immedially they all started getting on their dresses and working on them. I had stated that I was next and had an appointment they did not seem to care cause they told me to just wait 5 more minutes and they would be with me. So I did after about 10 minutes one of the girls that worked there asked me if I could get out of the dress so they could use the fitting room for someone else. I said yes but I have not been helped yet. She totally ignored me. After getting out of my dress I went up to the front dresk and said I am leaving becasue it does not seem like you have time for me and then I stormed out of there. So if you want to have a good experience avoid this place at all costs, because you will be treated as tho your special day does not matter!!!! more

I took my 8 year old daughter to Stephanie's Bridal for her first communion dress and was looking forward to a wonderful experience while searching for a special dress. We ended up being extremely disappointed with the service. What saddened me the most was I purchased my wedding dress at Stephanie's over 25 years ago and was looking to continue the tradition of dresses with my daughter, such as sweet sixteen, jr. prom, prom etc. The bridal representive was not helpful nor wanted to be helpful or supportive. The representive was involved with another party more so than my daughter who had a scheduled appointment. While my daughter was in a dress and looking in the mirror she was inappropriately asked to step down from the mirror for the ""other"" party----mind you there were two mirrors and my daughter was looking in the smaller mirror. I was appalled when the bridal representive spoke to her in that manner. At that point, I immediately informed the representive that my daughter should be treated no differently than the other party, if anything, my daughter would be a future customer, not a one time bridal party event. Bottom line, this ""now"" ex-customer was very sadded with the outcome and extremely disappointed. We purchased a $300.00 first communion dress and veil in near by Reading PA and received excellent care. Cons: poor customer service more

Positive: Stephanies Bridal Shop was very helpful and all of the girls that worked there were very patient with me. I wasn't the easiest person to deal with either. My wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses all came in on time and were beautiful! They included the alterations for free and they were all done professionally. I would definitely recommend this store!
