I visited the Silverfork Lodge with my girlfriend on a sunday afternoon at about two thirty. there were probably 15 tables and five servers and a busser. (having managed restaurants in the past this is in no way a heavy work load for any server worth a salt). We were promptly seated and given menus but then.....nothing. As we sat there, the two tables who came in after us were served water,....then their drinks......then placed their orders, at this point no one had even come over to tell us that they would be right with us or something along those lines. At this point we waited some more then got up and left, if that was the type of service we could expect i decided that we were better off going someplace else. To add insult to injury as we walked out the manager (or the guy who seemed to be in charge) did not say a word to us, just watched us leave. This place used to be alot of fun, a great view and a good meal that brought memories of dining with my parents when i was younger, but the service has really really slipped. In a industry where most all the food is the same (breakfast type diners) you should really try to keep the edge on the competition with good or at least adaquate service. Not recommended.
Pros: Nice view
Cons: Appalling service
