I love going to eat at the beach! Seafood Harbor was really good, and I rather enjoyed the atmosphere. It was quieter and more relaxing than a lot of places at the oceanfront, so if you're looking for something different than I recommend here. more

DON'T WASTE YOUR $$ 2/25/2012

02/25/12. This is the first time I have ever written a review. I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant. My husband and I decided to try it out since we saw ""Seafood Bar"" on the sign. It ended up costing $21.95 each for the seafood buffet (not including crab legs...those are $8.00 extra). The seafood was not good: overcooked, dry, not fresh, and some of the bins looked like they had been sitting out for hours. My husband ended up eating chicken tenders and mac and cheese. The dessert bar and salad bar were a joke.\r \r The waitress we had didn't even refill our drinks. This restaurant is VERY overpriced, the atmosphere is dark and the staff was unprofessional. The service was not what it should have been for charging that much for food! I read a couple of the other reviews below and some of these people must be paid to write them because they have to be lying. They did not experience what we experienced. Terrible. We will never go back. \r \r Avoid this place if you want a good vacation!! more

Avoid At All Costs! 8/26/2011

Whoever does the advertising does a good job of making this place seem upscale to even nice. The reality is this is dark and old restaurant with VERY low quality food and service to match. Way overpriced and this was the low point of my extended families vacation. Many hundred dollars wasted away.... I am in serious doubt on the legitimacy of the positive reviews. See Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Yahoo reviews for the real truth. Avoid this place at all costs! more

Best Seafood Buffet on the strip 8/7/2011

This is the best place I have eaten ate my entire vacation. Seafood Harbor accommodated my budget and allowed me to get full and eat quality food. The reason I am writing this is to say thank you for making a great vaca in Virginia Beach. I hope to return to seafood harbor next year!!!!! Great food and place to dine. more

Its a Family Restaurant! 8/3/2011

Our kids are always all over the place! Its usually a ""mistake"" going out to any place for dinner besides our own home. 3 boys and 2 girls. The youngest is 2, the oldest is 16. Well, it was a pleasure to have someone else preparing and cleaning up a nice meal for once. The waitress was very patient and made us all feel at home. The seafood was great. Myself and my children were all full and the price was reasonable for my family. It was a real treat Hope to escape the house again sometime soon!! more

Above average Seafood! 8/1/2011

I thought the food was delicious. They had everything that I wanted on a buffet and it was perfectly located on the strip near our hotel. The worst thing about the place looks to be the small parking lot. But that is really nothing because they charge an arm and a leg for parking at the beach and its free here! The seafood is the Best part! more

I usually do not write reviews but I loved it so much that I decided to write one. I had expected to go in and find old, dry seafood but instead the seafood was unusually fresh and tasted great. I would give the food a 4 and the service a 5. more

Had Drinks and Dinner 7/22/2011

The drinks came fast and the food on the buffet was fresh and being tended constantly. Both were delightful and satisfying. I told my brother about the seafood buffet and he wants to go have dinner there in a few weeks. If you are looking for a spot on the beach that is comfortable and casual this is the place to go! more

RECOMMENDED!!!! U get more than your moneys worth! and its Worth the drive!!! All you can eat great fresh catch of the day, and they have non-seafood as well!!!!!! So good! Not expensive for the limitless crab legs. They have all you can eat salads, oysters, watermelon and soooo much! more

My wife and I had lunch there. I had passed it up many times, but went in because it was close to our spot down the street. Had a luncheon salad, which was great. Highly recommended by us both. The crowd was not to big or small, just right. more

i would just die for a plate at the Seafood Harbor again. Wasnt sure what exactly to expect when I walked in the door but my expectations were 100% satisfied. There was no long lines, no waiting, no rush and the service was great. The food was the best part about it. Everything was hot and ready to eat! Had a great experience IT WAS AWESOME! more

I ate there with my husband a few days ago and I want to go back already! I am a seafood lover and I have to say that this is one of 'the best"" buffets Ive ever been to. I recommend everyone in the Virginia Beach area eat there at least because you dont know what your missing!. Believe me you wont be disappointed.. more

My kids and I loved Seafood Harbor 6/26/2011

I am a hard critic when it comes to cleanliness in restaurants and Seafood Harbor passed my test with flying colors. The buffet was nice and neat, there were no splatters of food or mixing of dishes. The plates and silverware met my expectations. Other then that the bathroom was very nice, it had a huge mirror for me to touch up my makeup and it wasnt messy like some of the others. All of the questions my kids had about the shrimp and crabs were answered by the waitress which made me feel comfortable. She didnt get frustrated or fluttered. Matter of fact, she even taught them how to open crabs the correct way! It turned out to be a great dinner for my kids and I. more

don't waste your time or money 6/15/2011

the food was terrible. 90% fried seafood from the freezer. the buffet is totally overpriced and the selection from the menu consisted of four items that are also fried. there are so many choices for seafood in the area and i was very disappointed and sorry for wasting a great opportunity for an extended family dinner at the seafood harbor restaurant. don't waste your precious vacation hours within this dump. I wish i would have done the research before organizing my large family group dinner. more

Darling Seafood Joint 5/5/2011

I have grown to love buffets and I hope for a good meal every time I go to one. This one was especially good. It had several different items that I have not seen on a buffet before and while I do not frequent seafood places much, I was impressed with this one. It had several different crab dishes from actual blue crabs to pick, a crab patty, and crab legs. They also had shrimp and two types of scallops cooked in two different ways and what looked like New Orleans craw fish. I wasn't sure how you were supposed to eat those but when I asked the waiter she explained to me the proper way and she was most sincere about it (a rather unorthodox method) however fun. they also had corn and rice that went well with the cray fish. I had a lovely time and home to go again. also ladies- their bathrooms are splendid with little nautical decorations on the doors- too cute! more

Best Seafood at the Harbor 5/5/2011

My n my buds went last night and it was awesome. We had all we could eat seafood AND steak served on their menu. My buddy got the maine lobster stuffed with crab meat and we wanted to order a second one it was so good. We stayed for a long time eatin and chatin and the waitress was as nice as could be. i think we almost ate them out of their seafood. definitely go more

Faud is the possitive 9/12/2010

I have never wrtiiten a review before in my entire life. But I must try and save the next person or family from walking to the near resturaunt. That location is the only reason I can imagine that this place exists. I have an expense account and still demanded a refund for this offensive display. It is a shame to the widlife itself to be served in such a lazy cold and cheap place. Hotel vending machines would have been better. \r \r I should have taken time to read reviews first. After looking at reviews from others after my visit I have learned that when 5 stars appear that it is at the owners hand.Therefore it turns out that tonight was a positive event for me. I now know how to read though reviews and understand the truth. I suggest the owner stop writing 5 star reviews and focus on basics of food service. \r \r Public be aware not to trust average scores. Read the reviews and decide who is honest. \r \r PS; I hate that this site insists that I atleast give one star. more

  • The Seafood Harbor Restaurant is the Oyster's Pearl, placed walking distance of the oceanfront in Virginia Beach. Established by Greek immigrant brothers in the late 1960s, this family-styled restaurant is a great place for eats.

    Seafood Harbor offers spectacular dishes prepared the way you like, even at the buffet. How is that for choice? Seafood Harbor also offers Ala Carte selections and the finest cuts of steak in the area. The Fishermans' Platter is the favorite dish of the combination platters with large portions. Kid's meals are fantastic and are served with sides. There is a wonderful bar for the romantic scene with cocktails, wine and ice cold beer.
