Wonderful Neighborhood Cafe 11/18/2010

We have now gone to this great little spot half a dozen times, and each time we walk away a little more impressed with the place. The food has always been amazing for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Not only is it good food, but the prices are reasonable and you always feel like you got your monies worth. French Fries are fresh cut, crispy and perfectly seasoned. Soups are homemade and incredibly tasty. I had a pork roast, mashed potatoes, and mixed veggies tonight that I just couldn't stop eating. My husband got their amazing chicken pot pie, that had him silent the whole meal. If you haven't had the opportunity to stop in, you really should. We drove by so many times in the past..and are now kicking ourselves for not going in earlier. :) more

Friendly Service, Great Food, Great price 1/1/2010

This is my favorite breakfast haunt and the fact that it is usually filled with ""regulars"" is a testament to the greatness of this place. I reserved half the place for my wedding breakfast with about 30 people from out of town and we had the best service, food, and everyone had a great time. Pros: Waitresses that make you laugh, Food is great more

Poor Service, Employees with Attitudes, but Good Food 9/11/2007

I am an out of towner but from Utah. I went to RMG with work friends from Florida and Texas. We had heard the food was great. As it turned out, that was the only thing that was good. There was nobody at the door/reception to tell us we would have to wait - and we waited! Once we were seated, the waitress was extremely slow in bringing water and coming back to take our order. We finished our meal and tried to get her attention to get the bill but we couldn't get her attention. I actually got up and went to her to ask for the bill and she acted as if we were imposing on her time. ""I'll get it to you, don't worry,"" were her exact words. We wanted to leave to get back to the office but couldn't because she had an attitude and even laughed when she said that to us. Not only were my friends very displeased with this restaurant, they had very unhappy things to say about their trip to Utah, thanks to restaurants and employees like this. Sorry, not going back and will not recommend it to anyone. Pros: Good Food Cons: Poor Service, Employees with Attitudes, Lack of Customer Care more

A pleasant suprize 4/28/2007

I've often driven by this plain looking cafe, but didn't bother to stop expecting the same old stand bys. We were greeted by Betty the waitress as we came in and kept up a running patter as she made suggestions for lunch. The shrimp bisque she recc was delicious. Nice selection of homemade items not seen everywhere. Bread and fries were extremely fresh. She even offered to send a refill of my iced tea to go (at no extra charge), because it was a slow day. A pleasant find. Pros: Fresh food, good selection, friendly service. Cons: Ordinary looking, easy to overlook. more

Kinda scary 10/19/2004

After a bizarre experience at this place that involved dozens of mistakes by the server and a payment snafu that completely taxed the combined brain power of several employees, we were finally walking out the door when our server asked ""So where would you like to sit?"" Beware of the ""regulars"" who stare at you when you walk in the door as if to say a. ""fresh genes for the pool!"" or b. ""SAVE ME! I'M TRAPPED AND CAN'T GET OUT!"" more

Nice little hole in the wall 5/14/2002

This place is located on busy Highland Drive, but it's pretty easy to miss (or dismiss). But once inside, you'll find the restaurant is quite charming. The food is good (nice sandwiches and soups) and the service is friendly. Pros: Good value Cons: Easy to miss more
