This museum is all about community education. The collection numbers over a million objects of natural science, regional history, archives and anthropology. Of particular interest is the quilt collection, some of which date back 200 years!
One spectacular sight is the mastodon that was found in Avon, NY and is on display at the museum. In addition, a number of Native American artifacts are here, including a log cabin which serves as a story-telling vehicle.
The Adventure Zone is a great place for hands-on activities to teach children about science in a playful manner.
