I've sold items at this store, and feel that I was adequately compensated. However, it's never clear what will be accepted. The brunette accepts more items than the blond. The ...

Love this place for great used clothing finds! 12/14/2005

It's a little musty, but newly decorated and full of great finds. I adore shopping here for a bargain. Yes, it is used clothing, but who cares? At least you know that the sweater that someone else spent $50.00 for doesn't shrink when washed. That's the best part! I love being able to get nameband clothing for a fraction of the cost. you can also trade in your old clothes for credit--which is even better! more

Rag O Rama 11/16/2005

Before you go out looking for that special outfit that you've only seen pictured in your head and never in real life, you should check out Rag O Rama first. They have the finest selection and variety of pants, coats, shirts and everything else in between. As well, they buy, sell and trade everything. Other oddities found here include leg warmers, sunglasses, tapestries, shoes, feather boas, wigs and the like. The prices are always ranged well, so that you know you are paying less than what you would normally anywhere else for something as great as what you're getting. more

From Rags to Riches 9/29/2005

I love this gently used clothing shop! The prices are reasonable and there is something for everyone, especially if you want to stand out in a crowd. They even buy back your used clothing, accessories, and shoes. The staff is courteous and helpful and the location on North High Street allows for generous parking. You can't beat it. more

Hipster Hand-Me-Downs 8/17/2005

Buy clothes, trade clothes, sell clothes. This place bothered me for awhile because I would walk in and the racks seemed to hold great promise but then I never found anything. It's changed for me though. Now I find things, get home, look at them, and think, "What the..?" But it's all in good fun. I haven't had much success selling clothes, possibly my cast-offs lack personality, although a lot of what I resell is FROM there, so what's up with that? I like the season changes, when they get rid of all those tired old tank tops and put out exciting autumn jackets. And you can get the softest old t-shirts, which you can't find in thrift stores any more, probably because the Rag-o-rama staff has gone in before you and gotten them all for themselves. more

This Store has lots of great used clothes (brand name too) that are in very acceptable condition and at a great cost. Lots of great deals to be found. I found a pair of armani jeans for $20!!! That is low for even low grade jeans and these were in perfect condition and I've worn them for years. What a find!!! more

  • The Scene
Rag-O-Rama is famous for its flamboyant window displays, with mannequins dressed in club-kid duds you really couldn't wear outside of a night out on the town. Once inside the door of this aggressively hip thrift store in north campus, customers roam racks of trendy, quality threads, from tee shirts to party dresses.

    Wild Wear
You won't find a pair of Gap jeans for $2, but you may find some in good shape for under $20. There's also plenty of outrageous (brand-new) accessories for your next Bernie's gig or Halloween party: wigs, bloomers, feather boas, studded dog collars, fish-net stockings, leopard-print everything. The store also carries new college student necessities: ethnic blankets, candleholders, bandanas and scarves, and (of course) incense and incense holders. Selling? The store gives half of an item's value in trade, 35 percent if you want cash.
