Pomodori's Pizzeria

While I have never eaten here I will never try it! I do not frequent downtown but thought a special family dinner would be great! I ordered pizza from Adriatico pizza next door. I have not been to the new location and while trying to find parking and being intimidated by UC downtown at night I saw several (over 15) open spots? Yes I did see the sign NOT Adriatico's parking and against my better judgement I parked. \r \r All I had to do was run in for just a minute to grab my pizza and go! No sooner did I walk in the door, lees than 2 minutes was my car hooked up to a tow truck and I was being ask for $96.00 to unhook it! WHAT! Cash only! Really I asked? Yes....you can get cash from the ATM over there. \r \r \r Jaw to the floor! So my now $40.99 pizza became a $143.99 pizza! Was I in the wrong sure! I will admit I read the sign, thought about it and parked after looking around the area I just didn't feel safe walking far for only a five minute trip in the pizza place.\r \r Sorry for parking in one of your empty parking spots! Rest assured I will not be eat at your restaurant and everyone will know about this! What happened to the time we were considerate of others and $$$ did not rule how we treat others. \r \r No sooner did I get out of my car that my car was hooked up to Ky-Oh-In tow truck! Less than2 minutes. This tells me that the spaces are policed. I walked over to the store ATM and one of the employees said they only take exact change but he would \r be HAPPY to make it for me! WHAT! This felt very planned and like an extortion ring! \r \r $96.00 to lift my car off the ground! So sad our society has lost touch with understanding. Thanks for taking more food out of my kids mouths..... more

We have been eating at Pomodori's Pizza in Clifton for 15 years. It is always been one of our favorites. Tonight was a terrible dining experience. Our waitress was rude and unattentive. We were ignored all evening. She did not know the menu items, dropped the pizza at our table, and brought dirty plates about 5 minutes later. more

Unbelievable experience. Went there at 6:00 on a Thursday with my husband, toddler, and niece and nephew. We waited over 30 minutes for 2 salads and some garlic bread. Didn't see our server the whole time, drinks sat empty. Waited another 40 minutes for 2 small pizzas and a meatball sandwich. I went to the bathroom and saw my pizzas sitting, waiting to be picked up. Came back, they were still there. Went to ask what was going on, and my server saw me coming and disappeared. Asked for the manager, who was quite rude. Promised my food would be out in 5 minutes. 5 minutes later, sandwich comes but no pizzas. Waited another 10 minutes and walked out. more

I went to this place a few days ago because I had heard that the wood fired pizzas were the greatest. I was encouraged to see ""best pizza of the year"" awards on the wall when I ordered, but boy was I disappointed when it came to my table. First of all, it took almost a half hour, and all I ordered was a roma and basil wood fire. It had burn marks all around the edges and the bottom, and I'm pretty sure the tomatoes had been marinating in their own rotten juices for days. Pros: Nothin' Cons: Bad food, terrible service, bad atmosphere more

It made me sad to see a local Clifton restaurant go so far downhill so quickly. In previous years I had always had good service and at least adequate food at Pomodori?s. However, the last time I ordered it was in the evening after work. I got fettuccini alfredo that appeared to have been cooked either very early in the morning or the day before. It was so disgusting that I could not manage to eat any of it, and merely threw it in the trash. Their prices are far too high (it cost 14.00) to be serving food that is such a low quality. To anyone craving Italian I recommend shopping around, there are far better restaurants. Pros: None. Too bad I can't score lower than a 1 star. Cons: Terrible food. more

The food took FOREVER! Our drinks were empty the entire night, there were only two other people in the dining room and it just took forever to get anything. Then, when the food came, the pizza was somehow burnt, but still cold?! and it seemed like the ravioli and the salads were wading in a pool of ice water. Just overall, not good!! Cons: Gross food and bad service more

I was totally let down by this pizza. I thought just by the name of the restaurant that the pizza might have some pizazz or something but it was plain, and no one in our family gathering liked it. more

I love the quality of food offered, however, the consistency is really off. It seems to be very difficult to get an order correct. Whether is is sauce on the side- or leave off the tomato- it isn't happening. I have returned for the food, but always have to remind the waitress to refill a drink. They need to write the orders down. I always have to send back the order because it is incorrect. The atmosphere is too relaxed for the price! What a disappointment. The best part of Clifton ...hands down! Makes the trip to this community worth the drive. Pros: the oven, style baby, atmosphere Cons: limited parking, location, price more

My family has kind of a tradition of Friday night being pizza night, so this time I recommended Pomodori's because I had never had their pizza, yet I'd heard that it was very good. It was excellent. Thick crust, tasty cheese and pepperoni made for one of the best pizzas I'd had in a long time. more

My older brother who lives in Mt. Adams took me to Clifton ""Corryville"" to have lunch at a place I had never been before for food. The pizza from Pomodori's wood fired stove was ""out of this world"" the best that I had ever tried and I am a die hard Buddy LaRosa pizza fan. Now evertime I come home to Cincinnati I will make it a point to visit Pomodori's for a great pizza to enjoy. Pros: stand out taste, great service, full ambience more

The food at Pomi's is excellent. Everything is super fresh. The staff is friendly, and the place isn't too stuffy even with all the University people who go there. Pros: pretty servers more

Pomodori's Pizzeria is one of the few Pizza restaurants in Cincinnati that is true to Italy and it's amazing Pizza. more
