We should have read the reviews!  If we could give it negative stars we would!  We went in looking to buy a side by side.  We found the one we wanted and started the finance process. One of the gals there even went to pick up the trailer we were also purchasing.  We had been there about 1hr 45 min when the sales guys comes up to us and says...""Oh, sorry the other sales guy( young blond boy) just took a deposit over the phone for this machine"".  Yes , that is right they sold it right out from under us!  Our sales guy didn't seem the least bit ruffled that he lost a sale!  Apparently you can come in on Monday and call in and make a deposit on Saturday over the phone.  We believe that the punk sales kid called his prospective while we were there- by the smirk on his face when we were given the news.  We walked away..if that is the way they conduct business, we want nothing to do with them and caution others as well. Highly unprofessional!! more

The best service department around by far!! I have been doing biz with them for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience! Awesome sales crew, parts department and service team! They always go above and beyond to make sure I am taken care of, wether its getting my motorcycles repaired, buying gear or parts or purchasing new machines. The customer service is awesome! I would highly recommend Plaza Cycle!!!! more

K first let me say I've been shopping at plaza for years now. But they literally have the worst customer service in the world . I took my bike to the service department two weeks ago for a recall I drop it off all is well he tells me it will be done by the 18th so I call them on the 18th and they tell me I can pick it up twenty minutes later the service manager calls me and tells me If I want my bike back today I have to pay them 550$ and then they'd reimburse me when Yamaha paid them . Then I call and bitch to the general manager and he gives me the run around five minutes later the service manager calls me back and tells me that the recall on my bike expired so there taking my bike back apart and putting the old coils back into it. And tells me to come pick it up . They had my bike for two weeks and barely figured it out the day I'm suppose to have it back so now I have my bike back two weeks later nothing done to it . They are the worst dealership and service department out there I will drive 500 miles before I ever go back to plaza cycle again worst service ever more

The worst customer service I have ever received. I bought my bike less than a week ago and I've had none stop problems. The very next day the bike wouldn't even start. When I called the Service Center he told me to charge the battery. I did and the bike still wouldn't start. I took the battery into them and let them charge it for 24 hours, took the battery home and again the bike wouldn't. Every time I call the guy just talks in circles. He obviously has NO idea what he is even talking about. $4000 bike that I've rode twice and the second time was because I got a push start. I highly do NOT recommend Plaza Cycle for ANY bike purchases or services as here I am now stuck with a non operating bike and nobody to help. They don't care about you or your bike, just your money. DO NOT GO THERE. more

DON'T SHOP HERE 5/29/2010

I bought a helmet and tried to return it one week later. I never once wore the helmet. The three people who interacted with me were all extremely rude and one went so far as to call me a liar when I said that I had not worn the helmet. This most certainly was not the case. They refused to return or exchange the helmet. In addition, I have since found the helmet for significantly lower prices at other stores. Pros: NONE Cons: Rude staff, high prices, no returns accepted more

Best Dealer in the State possibly country!!!! 4/19/2010

This dealership is down right amazing! I went in a week ago to look for a Street bike to see what they have, oh man was I in for a suprise "they have every brand you can imagine." Usually I shop at some of the smaller locations (Full throttle, Honda world, Steadmans, Honda Salt Lake, etc) and man they are so far behind the dealership it's not even funny. Pros: Customer Service, Prices, Down to Earth Employee's Cons: Sales manger Jeff is not so nice! more

DONT GO TO PLAZA CYCLE!!!!! GO TO...... 3/19/2010

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM PLAZA CYCLE - I know everybody pretty much knows this but go anywhere but plaza cycle. About 50% of the time they have to order parts they should regularly stock making your trip a waste of time and money. They treat you as though they are doing you a favor by letting you buy from them - - customer service absolutely sucks. Their prices are as high as their suppliers will let them be. I want to support brick and mortar businesses, but take my advice and order online instead of going there - - you will avoid having to make a separate trip back, paying to much, and being treated poorly. If brick and mortar businesses want to survive, they need to treat their customers right. There are some good dealerships in Utah. One of them is Carbon-Emery Motorsports. If you are buying a bike, Quad, etc., call Brock @ Carbon-Emery Motorsports at (800)762-4386 and tell him Alan sent you - - he will treat you right and save you money. Pros: Location Cons: Everything Else more

Will never spend another $0.01 at Plaza Cycle 9/1/2009

I was a loyal Plaza Cycle customer for over 10 years. In the past, I bought a new Yamaha Royal Star, two Sea Doos, a trailer and subsequently had them rebuild the crashed cruiser (it wasn't my fault...) but after what I just went through, I will never spend another penny with them. Something has gone very wrong with their customer service. Cons: Very poor customer service... more

Thiefs 4/27/2009

I put 1,000.00 down at honda world in south jordan and changed my mind, they gave me my 1,000.00 back no problem. I put a 100.00 down at plaza cycle in slc and changed my mind and they would not give me my 100.00 back. The salesman even said they would give me my money back. I wouldn't go to plaza cycle in slc ever again. My advice go to some other dealership. Pros: They were nice at first Cons: Took my money more

Avoid like your life depends on it! 2/20/2009

Avoid this place like your life depended on it, it just might.\r \r The absolute worst service! I was treated rudely and extorted, and then nearly lost my R6 to something that I perceive as sabotage. You decide.\r \r The tech removed my bike's oil level sensor bolts because of a dispute over an additional $75 dollar hourly fee. I paid $800 dollars for a tune-up, tires and a diagnosis on the oil level light.\r \r When I did not want to pay them $75 more to reassemble the 2 lower fairing bolts when the sensor turned up back-ordered, they sent me out of the shop telling me that my bike may "blow up" if I ride it out of there. \r \r I knew that the oil pump was working and that the oil level was fine, but when I got home found that the tech had removed the bolts holding the sensor in.\r \r I could have died if I would have taken the bike on the highway and blew the sensor out and had all the oil hit my back tire.\r \r These guys extorted and then nearly killed my bike, and me.\r \r The worst of the more

Very Poor Service 8/25/2008

I had the need to deal with the service shop 3 times while trying to get my bike worked on. They were rude and tough to work with consistantly through the processes. I was misquoted a price for work and not given any documentation so when the final bill came it was quite a shock. Also, they had charged me for work that wasn't done and when I pointed that out I was once again treated like I was an inconvenience to them. I cannot recommend this shop. more

Walk in, ride out, leave you stranded 5/2/2008

The motto for this place is walk in, ride out. well i did that initially, but it wasn't more than 15 minutes before my battery was dead on my brand new kawi ninja 500. fortunately i was close so i went back to the store and they came out to re-charge my battery. later that night i rode my bike to work and when i went to leave, it would not start. so i had to walk home. i took the battery out of the bike and had them recharge it. they did overnight. when i came to pick it up the next morning- they said the battery was dead and they had to get me a new one.-which doesnt mean just picking one up off the shelf. they had to put the acid in it and charge it again. so now ive basically been waiting around to drive my new bike for a day and half. and the service rep tried to come down on me for being upset that i cant walk in, and ride out. he keep saying it was the manufacturer's fault. and "like havent you ever bought anything that was defective before"?!! but almost shouting at me. and he also had the nerve to tell me i offended his customers when i said "this is a f***ing pain in my a**. i was angry, i didn't direct it towards anyone. and hey buddy, i'm a customer too! good service would have been to check the battery first thing in the morning and recognize if anything else had to be done. they knew i was coming in early the next morning. Pros: good financing Cons: poor customer service more

best service i have ever recieved 12/4/2007

i recently took my atv into plaza cycle service and was greeted with friendly customer service and guys who communicated what was wrong with my atv very clearly. they helped me to understand what needed to be done to get it working right which i truly appriciated, being a divorced woman trying to get her sons atv fixed i really thought they went the extra mile for me when they loaded it onto my trailor and tied it down too. i will be taking all my machines to plaza cycle in the future Pros: very friendly service, and courtous employees Cons: none more

The worst place to have your motorcycle service = Plaza Cycles, West valley, Utah 5/30/2007

II took my motorcycle to this so call shop to have new jets installed and to correct electrical problems in the charging system. From the get go they told me that it will be two weeks before they can actually start work on my motorcycle. Two weeks of having the bike and do nothing on it (that should have been a warning). Pros: good selection Cons: poor customer service, these people are there only to make money more

Plaza cycle motorsports 8/5/2005

I will always go to plaza cycle for sales service and the best selection of motorcycles atv, snowmobiles, and watercraft in the state of Utah. Pros: huge Selection, low prices, fast service more

"I bought my trx450r from Nick and he was the best sales guy ever. I beat him up pretty bad and even now when I go in he always say hi, good guy. It's been just over a year now since the purchase and I went back to order a HRC kit for it. Fernando in parts is an awesome guy. Basically everyone there is always awesome! Problem is every time I leave the place my pocket book gets hit for about $3-400. You guys tempt me too much. (Only kidding) I'm filling out this survey because I am in customer service as well at Jody Wilkinson Acura as a service advisor and know how much a little time on someone's part can really help out the service/sales guys. You guys deserve it. Good job!"
