Editorial review from Citysearch 2/27/2013

our family visited this spot to eat and we all got sick, the place was filthy dirty, we saw some chock roaches, and we will never visit peters sushi's spot again that was located in anchorage alaska. Also we told the owner that the flatwear that we had still had food strains left on the knives, and all he did was laugh. So if you want to get sick---- eat at peters sushi spot in anchorage alaski, also take some TUMS with you. more

New location is nice.. 7/19/2009

If Peter's (""Pete's to locals) would figure out that their prices are far higher than Sushi Ya, New Sagaya, and countless other locations which offer fresh sushi.. they may start getting better ratings from locals.\r \r The sushi is good .. but with so many other locations offering fresh sushi at more affordable prices, it's hard to justify a trip to Pete's anymore.. Pros: Always fresh sushi in a new, much larger restaurant Cons: Pricier than numerous competetors in area more

Overrated and completely disappointing... 9/21/2007

I was told that Peter's was a ""great spot for sushi"". It isn't. I was told that the staff was ""fun and a good time"". They're not. I was told that it was ""a little pricey"". Well, at least the people I spoke to got this one right. First off, Peter and his staff are from Korea- not Japan. The sushi rice was undercooked and was not properly flavored with vinegar. The fish was ok, but clearly not prepared properly. The soy sauce is served in oil flask, c'mon! There is no low sodium soy in the house. The servers were rushed in taking our orders and slow in delivering them- and the place was EMPTY. To be fair, there is a LOT of different and unique rolls that are made at Peter's, unfortunately the rolls are so busy that the true flavor of the fish cannot be enjoyed. If the previous reviewers really think that Peter's is good sushi, I just hope they find a way out of town to enjoy really good sushi. I wouldn't recommend Peter's to anyone and wouldn't trust the opinion of anyone who says that this gruel is ""the best"". Pros: Plenty of Parking Cons: Food, Service, Price more

The most trusted sushi in town in my books 12/8/2006

I have always recieved good fresh Sushi form the clean nice inviroment. The people are very friendly though sometimes hard to understand but just give them time they will grow on you. Everyone comes up and plays with baby clucking and cooing (for Real). I love the soy beans they serve before the meal. If you are a person who drinks tea ( I dont) they stay on top of your tea refilling it though my mom sais sometimes it taste a lttle old. I dont know though. I normally get Teryaki chicken for the baby. A tray for my daughter and myself. We also get the Dragon, almost anything Californian, and the caterpillar.\r It is usually relly pricy but what sushi is not, so this is only a place we go when mom sais she is going to treat us there. she is very frequent customer and they know her. It was awesome when they moved to a bigger store. The old red robin building. There redecorating of the place is amazing. Pros: Great food, fesh, no crusty rice, soy beans and oranges Cons: Tea is sometimes old and water can taste fishy for some reason??? more
