Horrible experience. By far the most unprofessional and untrained contractors I have ever encountered. My house is a mess, the floors are horrid, and they broke and ruined many other items in my home. Debating on taking them to small claims court. more

My own involvement with Perfect Flooring was quite poor. The service was not done in a timely manner, and, literally in the middle of the job, the workers (subcontractors) quit coming. Husband called and was told the saleman would likely be fired for "doing slimey things"---the salesman lied and told us that he owned the company and had me write the check to him personally!!! We are considering small claims court action. The owner never bothered to call my husband back, despite three different calls/messages left. The quality of service was truly terrible. more

Very poor experience with this company in late September 2011. Was clear, in conversation with the workers, that the company rents the refinishing equipment and subcontracts employees. Salesman Chris promised hands-on supervision but was never seen at the worksite once. Never even called the night before the work was to start in order to confirm anything. I called him, and I received a brief text message in response. Chris didn't follow up on anything he promised. In the middle of the job, the workers stopped showing up---they literally abandoned the work. My husband called the main number. Explained that he had concerns about Chris. Secretary immediately responded, ""Yeah, he's done some slimey things lately. We don't know how much longer he's going to be with the company."" Lovely. My husband was transferred to Chico. He promised to look into the matter and return a call to my husband within 10 minutes. We never heard from him again. Period. My husband made two further calls, and Chico was never available, nor did he return the calls. We are contemplating a small claims action at this point. I would never use this company again. It's clear from the reviews that service is very hit-or-miss. I don't think this is a reputable company or even a substantial company that owns equipment/has regular employees and has the capability to stand by it's work. In retrospect, for instance, I would ask for insurance information, in case the subcontracted employees create substantial damage in your home. If you want a cut-rate experience that could easily go bad, then take your chances with this company, I guess. If you are looking for a legitimate refinishing company (as I was) then I would never use this company. The outcome is too und=certain. more

In terms of craftsmanship, Perfect Flooring has workers that are superior. They workers installed my hardwood cherry floors with patience and respect. They were very respectful when we were home, and we were home the whole time. For the most part, they were generally clean. I had a couple things I had to deal with but I was upfront about it. We technically had six rooms and two and a half bathrooms to work on, so Perfect Flooring did major renovations for us. Our biggest disappointment was the quality of the carpet they sold us. I thought I'd get a superior carpet but it was a little inferior. We were not really happy about it. Another thing was that some of the lighting wiring should have been connected to both the two switches we had, but they only used one. That was a disappointment. It was an oversight; there was so much going on, and we can't keep track of everything. However, I saw quality craftsmanship in Perfect Flooring. I'd give them a 5 right there. Perfect Flooring was just friendly and trustworthy while I was here. They were respectful in my home. To me, that was important. They were good people to work with. We really had good relationships with them. They guy who finished the job hugged me when he left. We had that good of a relationship with the workers at Perfect Flooring. It was wonderful. I just wish some things went better but I'm a perfectionist . Overall, Perfect Flooring was pretty good to work with. more

I hired Chico to refinish my floors. The deal was that it had to be done before I moved into my house. He asked for half up front, half at completion. Charged me, sent a crew to my house, then had them leave....didn't finish the job when he was supposed to. In fact, didn't finish it at all. He pulled his crew to go to a job that would get them more money, leaving me and my family screwed and moving into a house covered in saw dust. On top of that, he charged the rest of the money, without my consent...and still has not completed the job. Every time I call he spews more lies ""I refunded you the money,"" ""i'll do the job this day,"" and he NEVER follows through. I am going to the magistrate to sue him. Had to hire other workers to do the job. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN OR HIS COMPANY WITH YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY. He will tell you lies every time you speak to him, and you will be left with unfinished work. more

I used Perfect Flooring about seven years ago, they put down laminate floors for me. Everything looked wonderful. So, I had them back just recently to install flooring in two different rooms. They are really great to work with. Very personable, kind and efficient. I have recommended them to a few people. more

Perfect Flooring has done flooring and home improvement work for me on several different occasions. Everything was done to my satisfaction, and I have nothing negative to say. They are always prompt to arrive and begin working, and they do what they say they will do. Any concerns I've had have been addressed right away. I also like that they are locally owned and operated, and have been in the Pittsburgh area for a long time. more

Perfect Flooring came in quickly for me. When I ordered they product, they came and did it in a day. They were in and out, and they had to move a lot of furniture that was really heavy too, and I was surprised they could do that and have it go so smoothly! more

He worked on one wood flooring job, which still isn't done even though it's been 7 weeks since they left. The bathroom job never got done and he took my half of money for it too. He says it will be tomorrow, then the next day, then next week -- 5 weeks later and nothing. He says he went over budget on the wood job. Don't let this man in your house, hire a professional. more

Our deck and kitchen floor was just completed. The barbeque is on Sunday and we are ready to entertain. I can't believe how beautiful the deck looks. Dont let them in your house. Chico is a theif and does not care about your job just getting money. Dont tell hime anything about you he will use it to get more money. He does not pay his workers so they will walk out on the job. His worker dont work for him but he will tell you they do they are independent contractor. WATCH IT he will 1/2 do the job. more

I had a great experience with Perfect Flooring. They did a really excellent job, and I had no problems with them. They put in a backsplash and laminate flooring in my kitchen and dining room area. Additionally, they had to remove the old hardwood and also the ceramic tiles from the kitchen area to do the work. Originally, they weren't going to, but they took another look at it and decided that it had to be done. It took an extra three days to finish it, but they didn't even flinch or complain about it. They did what they had to do to make it just right. more

I've used Perfect Flooring for several projects. They have done everything they were supposed to do for me. They always get started on time and finish in a timely manner. They clean up afterwards, so I never have to fight them to do that at the end either, which is nice. The workers are friendly and hard-working. Also, I think their prices are right. We used Perfect Flooring ten years ago to put hardwood floors in two rooms, and we were extremely pleased. Recently, we used Perfect Flooring again to install hardwood in our family room and wood laminate in four bedrooms. Again, we are very happy with their diligent work and excellent products. Their worker was highly skilled and efficient. He paid great attention to detail and kept the job site clean. I had called three contractors last Friday 11-19 to get an estimate to installing my hardwood floor hoping to have it installed before Christmas. Chico from Perfect Flooring was terrific! He returned the call and was there the same day to take a look at the job and give an estimate on the same day that I first called!! There was a problem area where the floor was not level from a new addition to the old room. We agreed to put a separator board there for the transition. He said he could start the following Monday and that Joe would be the one doing the job. During the weekend I had a chance to review the Internet and read some reviews about Perfect Flooring. I was concerned with the negative comments about the quality of work and about Chico. On Monday Joe came in and reviewed the job. He was very pleasant, professional and helpful.
