Don't bring your small children here. It is not a good place. Additionally, the food wasn't so great, neither was the service and some manager was yelling at some lady while we ...

a good view of the park... 7/5/2002

but I've never heard of grenadine hollandaise sauce before, and for a Good Reason--it's horrible. And it was no sauce, it was more like a gelatinous pink foam underneath that cracker-dry halibut that was served instead of the advertized salmon. They were out of the pink fish (that I'm sure was meant to go so beautifully with that pink foam) even though it was my waitress who recommeded it to me when she returned to inform they were out of my first choice of entree. To the credit of the restaurant, my bill was credited for the returned entree, but I'm still amazed by the ignorance of the waitress and the sweet pink foaminess of my ""hollandaise."" Pros: park-side patio, park-side patio, good eggs Cons: poor service, inconsistent quality, pink foam hollandaise more

The Park is The Place for Eggs 6/10/2002

If for nothing else go to Park Cafe for the Herb Scramble and Oatmeal. These two dishes, along with the fresh baked biscuits, are to die for. I have yet to find a better egg dish than the aforementioned. And usually oatmeal is oatmeal, but at the Park, you get delicious apples, berries and/or whatever else may be in season. Lunch at the Park isn't as memorable, but it will suffice (Cajun Chicken sandwich is a good bet) for those who are really hungry. Pros: nice 'hood joint, crowded on weekends more

Great location 5/14/2002

The Park Cafe has long been a popular spot for weekend breakfast and summertime patio dining. The last time I was there, the interior was a little worn, but the service was attentive and the food was tasty. It's a nice spot for lunch or a casually romantic dinner date. Pros: Nice ambience Cons: Worn looking more
