last weekend was my boyfriends grandmothers birthday and one of her sons decided to take us all out to this resturant because they had heard the food was great. The limo service to the resturant (resturant owned limo) was the most disgusting limo i've ever seen and there was no air conditioning to boot, so we all sweated on the way over there. The food was TERRIBLE!!!! they didn't give us our bread untill we complained about it, they waited 30 minutes after we ordered to tell the three people that ordered veal that they did not have any that night, the steaks were veiny, the bruchetta was in no way authentic. I ordered the seafood pasta and it was the worst seafood pasta dish I have ever had...I have had much better at red lobster for half the price... it was VERY over priced...for $35 I got about 4 shrimp, a couple of mussles, a couple of clams, and about 5 pieces of rubbery rings that they called calamari all on top of some disgusting undercooked pasta. The only good thing we ate there was my boyfriends little cousins childrens pizza that she did not finish...we ate this instead of finishing our own food....so if you're looking for good italian food in south beach go elsewhere, the service is horrible and the food is worse. This restaurant was marvelous.....while we were there however it was very sad that the owner, collapsed right in front of us while he was singing in the restaurant. I heard great things about this restaurant and my friends and I were excited to visit. My experience intially was great, but seeing him laying there sorta put a damper on the rest of our experience. more

This response is to the false statements being made by Carol Coen with regard to her experience as a customer of Paesano's restaurant. Paesano's restaurant has been in business at South Beach for over 30 years. A restaurant does not maintain such longevity unless it has satisfied customers. Our customers are not only tourists but repeat local customers, as well. Ms. Coen states that we charged for bread. This is false. We have kept a record of her bill and charge which clearly shows that she was not charged for bread. She claims that a 17% gratuity was added on without notice. This is also false as our menu clearly states that the 17% gratuity will be added to the bill. Then she made a statement that she was poisoned. Our response is that we served 24 meals that evening of the same dinner that she ordered with no one complaint. (only compliments). When we did receive her complaint we simply asked Ms. Coen to provide some type of proof that she had fallen ill because of our food. She refused. All she ever did was demand a refund and made false statements when we refused her demand. Paesano's can provide numerous favorable reviews of our restaurant. Paesano's enjoys an excellent reputation which it has earned after more than 30 years in business. more

We use this gorgeus restaurant for our son's First Communion; not only the marvelous plates delighted our stay but the persons that attend us like their most important family members, specially Luis, made our afternoon an unforgettable family celebration. more

The manager/owner needs to change his attitude and shake up the cooking and service staff. This restaurant seems to exist only from first-time tourists. We had made three weeks holiday in miami. Every two days we went to eat in this restaurant cause it is the best anywhere. The service is great and the food better. It is a very beautifull atmosphere. Unfortunatelly we are now at home and we miss this great food and the excellent service. more

Time and time again, Paesano's impresses me. Their garlic bread and escargot is amazing, as is every pasta dish I've tried. The service is impeccable. Ask for the lobster ravioli (it's not on the menu). It's our favorite place to celebrate special occasions because we know we'll be taken care of, with no pretense. Just great Italian food. more

I have had several times frutti di mare at Paesanos, they are awesome! The pizzas are really great and true italian style, and so is also the lasagna. I think it's worth visiting Paesanos and not only for the food but also for the lovely and caring service and the limousine trips. Honestly, I highly reccomend it. I got food poisoning from the frutti de mare platter. My boyfriend got diarrhea. Recommendation came from Marriott, which got a kickback. They charge for water, and the bread they bring to the table.
