I was one who helped to save this park from being made into 1.a parking lot 2. hotels and time share villas back in the 80s and 90s. It is a joy that it has survived.

The beautiful Miami Beach Botanical Gardens is about 5 acres and features a huge variety of plants including orchids and subtropical palms. Besides the plants there are also cultural performances, gardening classes, an elaborate Japanese garden, walking tours and a conservatory. Besides those fabulous features, the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens has something that no other place in the world has…an "autograph tree." The tree has been signed by a variety of stars that have passed through the beautiful park. Admission is free, so check it out!

This place was old and worn looking inside and out. It was nice that it is right on the ocean. Our room came with a Kitchenette which was nice as we ate most of our meals in. The pool was crowded with children but that was ok as this hotel is right on the ocean which is nice. This place was affordable, but dont expect as nice of a location or experience then if you were on South Beach. There are a few restaurants and stores nearby and we had a plenty good time.

This is the best place to go listen to Jazz music and kick back and have a few drinks with friends.They really get some very talented players come through. The drinks are a little pricey but no worse than any where else. Wonderful place to unwind.

This is a really nice park. It's right on south beach. You can take a nice stroll or roller blade on the paths or have a nice sit down under a shady tree or on one of the many benches around the park.
There's a playground for the kiddies that consists of a climbing structure with slides that is set on top of safety foam. There's also a swingset with swings for infants and handicapped that is set over sand. Thee's not a lot of shade, so it's best to go early in the morning, later in the afternoon or on overcast days. We like to go in the winter when it's "cooler" out so we can stay a little longer.
There's usually a good breeze that comes from the beach so it's just a beautiful park to go to. There's plenty of restaurants, snack bars and ice cream shops that you can grab a meal or snack from and have a little picnic.
