Old Iron Doors

We bought a door. Gave 50% deposit and never heard from him for 8 months. My husband went down to his showroom after we couldn't get in touch with him and had discovered he had lost his license 2 weeks before we signed our contract. My husband threatened to take product from the showroom if we didn't get our door. Mario called 3 different times over a 2 month time period with different stories of where our door was and he even made 2 appointments with an install time! We did get our door but of course we have problems with it. Upon installation the glass door couldn't be opened and numerous scratches down to bare metal. Mario assured me they would come back and fix the glass and scratches. Neither Mario nor his LICENSCED installers JAEDEN DEVELOPMENT - BRENT (GORDON) DIXON will come back to fix the door. This frustration doesn't even cover the extra expense we have incurred with additional drywall and stucco. This was a new build and since our door never came (keep in mind we ordered the door before we even had approval from the City, before we had even started construction!!!) we had to put another door in to move in and of course the final stucco and drywall have been completed. Now with our iron door it looks like we have done a 'remodel'. We are talking about a million dollar home!!! Don't know if we will have to contact our atty (again) to get this right, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO MARIO CUNEO (OLD IRON DOORS) AND HIS APPRENTICE BRENT DIXON! BEWARE - DO LOTS OF RESEARCH BEFORE VISITING/PURCHASING FROM THIS COMPANY! We purchased a Custom Iron Door. Gave owner Mario Cuneo a check for 4,000.00 which he cashed IMMEDIATELY. He will not accept credit card - now I know why. After phone calls placed to Mario and him not returning calls, not answering the phone, and not showing up on the installation date - I began researching his company. His license ROC200642 has been REVOKED and has an F rating with the B B B. When we finally got a hold of Mario, we asked for a refund of our deposit since he clearly had no intention of installing our door. He stated for us to file any complaints, s u e him, go to the news - he did not care he was not licensed that there was nothing we could do about it and to not expect our door or money. Ordered an $8400 iron door, 8 month delay. No communication during 8 months except that initiated by me. I thought things might improve when owner took over the project and offered to install door in "2-3" days. Am now sitting on 8th day since installation began. I have no glass, only a boarded up shell of a door. No one calls to inform us of the days installation plans or schedule. Again, no communication! Would think glass would be made when door arrived from factory. Plenty of lip service from this company. Buyer beware! I realize this is a negative review, but this is an honest account of my experience with this company.
