Great facility for boarding and doggie day care. The veterinary is extremely caring and loving to my dogs. My dogs run to the door when we pull up- that says something!

Stay away if you love your pet! 7/17/2011

The WORST pet care & boarding we have ever experienced! I reserved and agreed to pay for the most expensive suite $64 just so our doggy will be comfortable for 1 night away from us. When my husband checked my dog in, we were told that our dog will be given anti-flea bath and a luxury suite for his weight category. We also brought his favorite toy to be with him in a suite so he will not have separation anxiety as much. When we got there the next morning receptionist called and asked for our dog to be brought to us from a suite 606, 5 minutes later the dog was brought, BUT IT WAS NOT OUR DOG!!! She asked again for our dog to be found and brought to us, but 10 minutes later we still didn't see anything happening...until I myself had to go physically upstairs ONLY to find 3 people standing in front of two low and tiny cages trying to figure out, which dog is ours. The floor was cold, stone floor with no padding AND MY DOG WAS IN THAT TINY CAGE WITH ANOTHER DOG!!! They all looked at me and asked: "So which one is your dog". To top it all off...the bill also showed that my dog was given a Capstar pill WITHOUT MY CONSENT. It was NEVER even mentioned to us. What if that more

Best Care! 5/25/2010

We just had the best experience with Newport Center Animal Hospital! We came back early from our trip, unannounced, and what we came back to was amazing. Our dog was clean and happy and clearly had a great stay. The staff was beyond nice. They knew many details about her which tells me they really played with her. The darling veterinarian happened to walk by and knew our dog by name, even though she hadn't needed to see her. They quickly brushed her out, gave her a big bow and gathered her belongings. It is so nice to know we can leave now and know she will be taken care of. What a relief! This facility is highly recommended by our family! Pros: Clean, professional, caring, great more

Great Veterinary Care 3/27/2010

I am very happy to have found a great veterinarian nearby to my home. After extensive research on vets in the Newport Beach area, I finally decided to take my German Shepherd to the Newport Center Animal Hospital (NCAH) right down the street on Avocado St. (on the outskirts of Fashion Island). I brought my dog in because she was having diarrhea on and off for a few weeks. Then I noticed blood in her stool, and when I noticed that, I was able to make an appointment for the very next day with NCAH, and I didn?t have to wait at all when we arrived. It was a very pleasant experience overall. The facility is very nice, and very clean. The ?nursing? staff was extremely helpful, friendly and personable. The veterinarian that saw my dog (Lauren Craft) was very thorough, knowledgeable, informative and pleasant. She took the time to explain to me (thankfully in language I could comprehend) the various ailments and potential causes that might fit my dog?s symptoms. The exam itself was very thorough and comprehensive. It really gave me the feeling that my dog was being checked out completely (teeth, hips?everything!), and being well taken care of. I might add that my dog behaved outstandingly considering a rubber-gloved rectal exam! Anyway, I had brought in a stool sample from that morning, and I opted to have that sent out to their lab to look for worms etc. They said it would take about a day. Impressively, they called me the very next day with the update, and I appreciate that type of professionalism in a vet. With other vets I?ve taken my dog(s) to I would usually have to put in a few calls to them before I?d get answers, and each call inevitably consisted of me having to remind them of who I was, what my dog was there for, and what information I was waiting for. But at this veterinarian there are no concerns whatsoever in that regard. In fact, if memory serves me correctly, I think it was the veterinarian herself who called me with the results of my dog?s fecal test! Most veterinarians would not take the time to add that much-appreciated personal touch of placing the call themselves. Anyway, they gave me a detailed (itemized), printed breakdown of the costs of various things they recommended. The veterinarian wasn?t pushy and didn?t try to guilt-trip me about the items (some vets I have been to in the past made me fell like a horrible person if I didn?t do certain tests, medications etc., which I later found out (after caving to the pressure and spending hundreds of dollars) were completely unnecessary! Know what I mean? You don?t have to worry about that here. Pros: Great Staff, Very Knowledgeble Veterinarian more

Looks pretty, just OK 11/15/2009

We took our pet dog here for boarding and it looks nice but when we picked her up, she had dirty feet (poopy) and it makes me wonder how good she was cared for. It is also very expensive which would be fine if the care matched the price. I left a message for someone to call me back and no one responded. Pros: Nice looking Cons: So-so care more

Great place to pamper pet 11/5/2009

This is the first time my cat hasn't been angry from boarding. I think she loved it! Great big suites with fish tanks. Beautiful groom before pick up! Highly recommend! Pros: Clean facility, friendly staff, great grooming more

Reasonable prices for awesome service 8/29/2009

Visited here while on vacation when my puppy had gotten sick. I was very pleased with the service & actually was even more pleased with the price. Considering the fact that I was getting ripped off at my puppy's first animal hospital in AZ, this hospital charges at reasonable prices. more

Never Ever Leave Your Pet there 12/7/2008

They don't feed, give water or walk your pet. This is a horrible place. They show you the nice areas and stick puppies in gross places. It was so sad to see my puppy almost dead. Employees just apologizes well apology is not going to save my pet from getting sick or dead. It's just a horrible place they don't care about your pet they only care about your $$$$. If you love your pet do not do not do not give it to them. Pros: None Cons: They don't give water, food or walk your pets. more

Never Take your pet here. 2/9/2008

Advertised as a shee-shee- pet hotel and vet, this place is a scam. It's all for show when I picked up my pet in disgusting condition and the bill was huge. I took my dog to my regular vet and she had a horrible undiagnosed ear infection and an infected gland undetected. I would NEVER recommend anyone ever take their pet to the bad place with the showy front. Pros: Might look good on the outside Cons: Incompetent and poor care on the inside more

Neglected Animal 8/21/2007

Pictures speak 1,000 words. I picked up my older dog today after 7 nights and $ 450 dollars at this place. I was assured they could handle older dogs. For the first day and 1/2 they fussed about paperwork and when I picked up my dog he had 6 CAGE sores...2 of them infected and could not walk at all which indicates he had been caged and not walked. 2 of the sores were on both sides of his face which indicated he had been lying down the whole time. I called the manger and she tried to aplogize even though she called him by a different name which indicates even to answer to the pet owner they dont bother to look at the dogs chart. Again...all I can say is pictures speak louder then words...my dog looks horrible after 7 days here....they can say all the sweet things in the world but what can I say to the obvious. more
