While I feel the Newport Aquarium was a needed addition to Cincinnati's entertainment venues, I think it's overall execution is fair at best. The exhibits, while breathtaking, are...

The best aquarium I've visited! 8/14/2006

We recently took our son to the Newport Aquarium in Newport, Kentucky. We all had a blast! We especially enjoyed the show, which featured a diver in the shark tank, answering questions from kids and giving info about the sharks. There were tunnels inside the aquarium, and you surrounded by fish and sharks on all sides. It was incredible! more

Lots of family fun! 4/7/2006

Newport on the Levy has really revitalized Northern Kentucky and the city of Newport. The Aquarium is such a great place for families and kids. The tunnels are great and make you feel like you're underwater. The exhibits are great and kids love seeing the colors and variety of fish and other marine life. The price is a bit steep, but still gives a nice afternoon of fun, and there is a lot more to do on the Levee. more

Family Friendly Entertainment! 3/31/2006

I would highly recommend stopping by the Aquarium during your time in Northern Kentucky! This aquarium is really amazing - tons of animals! There are hands-on exhibits and lots of friendly staff to make your visit great. The whole place is family based, and every child would enjoy seeing the different species and many colors there. Keep your eyes open for specials; prices aren't too high for what you're getting. Make sure to check out the penguins:) more

Educational and fun 11/14/2005

I really enjoyed going to the aquarium, it has a pretty large exposition, education movies, and most importantly a huge tank that houses a number of species including sharks. You can walk through a narrow hallway and watch thru the glass the fish swim all around you. Pinguins were also fun to watch... great place to bring kids to, very educational. more

Shark Alert ! 10/12/2005

The prices for food is awful. Other than that this is a fun experience and good for out of town guests to spend an afternooon. more

nice place for family outing 9/3/2005

When the aquarium first opened to the public , there were a lot of people saying how great it would be, I went there after it opened, and its okay to visit just not as rich in experience that I had thought it would be.The see through flooring and the sharks I found to be entertaining.I have not been there in awhile, but they have added a rain forest exhibit where you can feed free flying birds, now that my daughter will love!General admission for adults is$17.95 and $10.95 for children. more

Go at least once 9/1/2005

Okay. So it is quite expensive to go to the aquarium, but it's good family entertainment with a little layering of education. The layout is not the best but they do have really good rotating exhibits. The shark tank is really nice. I agree with the other reviewer who stated that the food was expensive. It was!! Sure the zoo is great...but it doesn't really have an aquarium like this one so I suggest visiting both. more

Good aquarium for families 8/21/2005

The Newport Aquarium is a good location for families to visit. It takes about two hours to tour the whole facility. They offer touching areas that are educational and fun. The staff offers assistance with the animals and helps the children learn about them and become comfortable with them. The shark tunnels are always looked forward to by my children as well as the penguin display at the end of the tour. The Aquarium is located at Newport on the Levee which also offers many dining, shopping and entertainment opportunities. more

The Rich Man's Aquarium 8/19/2005

If you want to take your kids to see live sea animals and you wouldn't mind paying lots of money in doing so, look no place further than the Newport Aquarium. Not only do they have the staple attractions, but they are also known for their special attractions (more recently than not, there was a shark attraction). The two biggest problems with this place are the prices (outrageous) and the Christmas attraction (it was horrible). I swear they must have to pay the animals as much as they want to charge the general public. more

Inland acquarium 8/18/2005

Newport Aquarium is an asset to the Greater Cincinnati area. The different attractions and displays are ever changing. It was a real treat to see the sea turtles when they were visiting the area (there are still one or two). The new permanent exhibit is the Sharkray - a very rare sight well worth the admission to just see this wonderful creature. more

not that great 7/31/2005

It one of those places where once is enough. I think there is a small age range of children who will enjoy the newport aquarium. I mean how many times can fish be exciting. Its so expensive for what you get. I would say if your going to go make sure you eat befor you go because the food is crazy expensive. I would sugest going to the ZOO instead. more
