My favorite type of live arts events are ballets. I love them. I am partial to the Cincinnati ballet, maybe because it is local. Ther performances are at a variety of locations. Most of the ones I have seen have been at the Aronoff. The dancers are very talented and never disappoint me. They will be showing a Midsummers Night Dream in late September.

Playhouse in the Park is located in Mt. Adams near the Art Museum. It is very small and intimate. They usually have lesser known performances there but they always have A Christmas Carol every year around Christmas. I see it every year. The staff is very kind and helpful and the performers are very talented. The prices are reasonable compared to performances at the Aronoff.

I went to see these people when I was suffering from really bad allergies. This is a family owned practice. I met with two of the Bernstein doctors on staff and was disappointed in both of them. They were very condescending and unhelpful. They didn't seem to care about any of my symptoms and problems. After my first two appointments I stopped seeing them and went elsewhere.

This place is small, which, to me, is a good thing. You get a very personal show. It is usually filled with the college crowd since it is so close to the University of Cincinnati. One drawback is the location. There is a lot of crime around that area which makes me nervous at night. You also have to watch for belligerent drunks since there are two bars in the place.

I really don't like outdoor amphitheatres, so it's no surprise that I don't like Riverbend. It seats a ton of people. Mostly on the lawn. Because it is on the river it floods whenver the river floods. The bugs are bad from being so close to the river. I think the acoustics are awful. Leaving in your car is a nightmare after the show you are seeing. My least favorite venue in Cincinnati.

This art museum is in downtown Cincinnati, which can pose a problem when looking for parking. If you want to see well-known artists you go to the Cincinnati Art Museum. When you want to see obscure and very gifted artists work, you go to the Contemporary Arts Center. They have fabulous rotation art exhibits. The building is beautiful. Staff is very nice and helpful.

I think the Aronoff is my favorite place to see any type of theatre in Cincinnati. The staff is super friendly and quite helpful. There aren't any seats where your vision is obstructed. The acoustics aren't the best I've heard but are OK. You have a decent view from most seats except for the ones all the way up in the top. It can get a little stuffy and crowded, but thats any theatre for you.

I will gladly pay extra money when I know that my items will be clean and not lost. Widmers has never lost my clothing. And they clean everything really well. I take my winter coats to them every year and have never been disappointed. They also deliver which is nice as well. The staff is OK. Not overly friendly but not rude either. The stores are always very clean.

Coney Island only has two things going for it: the giant pool and the admission prices. The rides are old and horrible compared to Kings Island. The place itself is very small. They do host some decent festivals throughout the year, like the Appalachain Festival and the Spring Festival. Keep an eye out for coupons. They are usually floating around.
