Beautiful gardens with interesting, varied exhibits 5/3/2010

As a visitor, I went to the Gardens every other visit. As a resident, I probably will go at least twice a year. So far I've attended the Orchid Exhibit and Cake Exhibit; I'm returning next month to just enjoy the outdoors. Pros: exquisite park, very reasonable for what you get Cons: none more

Gorgeous site 2/13/2006

This is an amazingly beautiful site for a wedding or event. The price is high but it's a once in a lifetime opportunity for a fairytale wedding reception. The flowers are obviously gorgeous and the photo opportunites are nearly endless. If it's in your budget, this is a dream-like venue for your big day. \r It's also a wonderful place to visit with families. Kids really seem to love the Japanese Gardens! more

Acres of natural beauty 11/28/2005

The botanical garden is one of the finest in the world. It is so big that you need couple of days to see it fully. Their theme gardens are beautiful and the rose garden is a eye pleaser. Every garden is designesd very well and color coordinated. You can also have wedding banquets at the garden. For a $5 entrance fee... this place is exceptional and great value for money. more

If you truly enjoy nature at it best this is one place you need to go and visit. They have such beautiful gardens you can walk around and see. The best is in the spring when all of the tulips are in bloom You can also visit the climatron which is a huge green house with lots of tropical plants and flowers. This is really a beautiful place to visit. more

This place is awe inspiring. There is no better place to experience nature than the Botanical garden. It is a terrific place to take children. They have lovely exhibits, and shows. On the flip side, it is also a wonderful place for adults, to spend some quiet time. It's a wonderful setting for a wedding, a reception, or a small group. You will never find more lovely scenery! more

Great Place 7/26/2002

I used to live in the St. Louis area and this was always one of my favorite places to go. It is just beautiful there. The Japanese gardens are wonderful and the scented garden is my favorite place. Beautiful in all Seasons 7/26/2002

The Missouri Botanical Garden is on my "must-visit" list of things to do in St. Louis every time I go there. There are large, showy beds of peonies, tulips, pansies, roses, iris, and lilies when these flowers are in season. There are many fountains, there is a large Japanese garden section which is particularly beautiful in the winter. There is a building and associated garden plots devoted to the home gardener, and of course, a gift shop from which can be purchased specimens of many plants. The Missouri Botanical Garden is an enduring attraction for me because it is always changing and there is always something new to see. Pros: variety, beauty Cons: too many memorials, sometimes hot, sometimes crowded more
