I finally moved out after 6+ yearsof living there. This place is going down hill since Richdale took over as owners/managers. I drove through the appartment area this morning, one year after I moved out, and the limited-access-gates are still broken, both, at the main entrance, and the side exit. Some things never change.... Folks living at this place and thinking about moving out BEWARE, take pictures of every corner of the appartment and take pictures of every mini blind in the apartment BEFORE you leave. THEY will take pictures of everything AFTER you left (that's what happened in my case). One element of a small mini blind was slightly bend (after almost 6 years of living there!!) and I was charged $95!!! to replace that mini blind. Be careful what you sign when you give them your move-out notice. They charged me a cancellation fee for my cable service even though I transferred the service to my new address. The construction containers near the entrance are finally gone.... wow. I wonder if the entrance door to the mail room has been fixed. It was broken for several weeks while I was living there. Oh well... who's worried about mail theft... they are certainly not.
They recently painted the buildings, however, this appartment are is approximately 15 years old. Kitchen cabinets, built-in microwave, stove and refrigerator are totally outdated.
I paid more for electricity for the approx. 1000sqft apartment than at my 1700sqft house now. Reason? That place is not insulated very well. It was hot in the summer even with the AC on, and cold during the winter with the heat on.
Folks, if you are thinking about renting an apartment in Las Colinas... keep on driving.... nothing good here at the Marabella Apts.
Pros: close to Highway 114
Cons: Richdale as owner / manager
