Bought a BMWx5 that according to Andrew at the time the owners wife used to drive a little over a year ago, put $5000 down, had to fight to get them to replace two of 4 tires and replace window mechanism. Took to mechanic who said he believed no filters or fluids were EVER changed do to the black sludge he found in most areas. Front Axels went out, the third party warranty clearly says it covers them, yet they declined to cover it stating a terminology glitch to blame, I took it to Mac Auto and Andrew called the repfor the warranty saying he would ""take care of it"" and right in front of me told the guy not to cover it thinking I wasn't listening. Told him I would like to speak with the owner because he said the owner was ""on vacation"" and told me ""I know the owner, he won't help you out"". I had to pay out of pocket to repair those Axels despite having the car 1 year. Few weeks later the back passenger suspension bag blew, again not covered by the third party warranty. The radiator was leaking coolant and is cracked, not to mention the oil leaks and heater goes in and out. The third party warranty will not cover anything that has to do with damage caused by a lack of maintenance, and MAC never maintenanced the car then sold the warranty KNOWING that and purposely putting me in situations after situation of failure to unload a LEMON and not do a thing to hold up their end of the bargain. PLEASE do not make the mistake of ever going to this dealership. There's a reason they are small time. These guys are scammers. more

Mac Auto was the best car buying experience ive ever had. nothing like a new dealership where the salesmen stand around like vultures. Mac auto is very laid back when it come to the customers. from the very begining when i called in, the office manager/receptionist was so nice on the phone and she directed me to the right people. they let you look around without being harrassed. the salesmen are all courteous and attentitive to the buyers needs. the finance manager ari is very knowledgable about every car on the lot, and really helped me find the one i wanted. the next day i came to purchase the vehicle i wanted and this time i was helped by andrew, another stand up guy, ari must have trained him well. overall my mac auto experience was a great one. I got the car i wanted with the payments i needed. owner marty has outdone himself with the staff he has working here, from the salesmen, to the mechanics, to the finance guys. i give Mac Auto 2 thumbs up, and five stars. I dont know what these other people are complaining about, maybe its not the horrible customer service, maybe its just horrible customers. thank you mac auto. i will deffinately reccomend this place to my friends and family. more

Worst Customer Service EVER by ARI!!!!!!! 9/6/2011

Ari I must say was okay the first time we went to look at the car. We sat down to discuss terms, we left while we were still deciding on wether or not to get the car. We called him back later that evening to let him know that we agreed to the terms he gave and would be back as soon as he could get us financed, we had to call and follow up 2 days later cause he wasnt calling us with any updates, almost as if he wasn't interested in selling the car. I found out from my finance company that I had been approved that very first day I walked in. He made the sale seem as though he was doing me a favor selling me the car. He was very rude once the sale was done. we went to take possession of the car and the gas tank was on empty, he refused to put any gas in the car, instead he thought he would charm us with his dry sense of humor. If it wasnt for my daughter wanting this specific car i would have never finished any contract with him, Ari was horrible. more

We should have stopped here first...... 8/30/2010

My wife and I stopped at Mac Auto late in the evening after wasting an entire day at several dealerships in the L.A. area. It should have been our first stop. After discovering the car we wanted had been sold, we found other options immediately. Lucky for us Marty, the owner, is an Audi fan also!! After a couple of test drives we had made our decision. Now the cool part - Marty says ""take it home for the weekend - drive it - if you like it, we'll do the deal"". WOW!! We took the car home and decided to come back the next day and do the paperwork!! We met with Ari the next morning and he had us in and out in no time - including a contract stating the deal hinged on a clean bill of health for the car, which we received from our Audi dealer. The entire process was quick and painless and we got a great car at a fair price. We found Marty and Ari to be genuine, laid-back, friendly and efficient. Oh, and they've got some good support staff too!!! We would not hesitated to recommend Mac Auto to friends or family!!! more

Great service, no hassle enviornment 1/11/2010

I bought a 2003 BMW 325 from this place and I have had it for some time now and I have had no problems with it at all so far. Aside from the normal wear and tear for a used vehicle the car was in great shape and was a smooth drive. When you buy a used car it can be scary because you don't always know what you're getting, but you can't be in business for as long as this place has by selling bad cars. Overall great used car buying experience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good cars with a friendly staff of employees. Pros: great car selection; friendly, easy going atmosphere more

Very ""UNhappy Customer"" 12/21/2009

Bought a used 2003 Nissan Sentra in June 2009 for my son to get to work and school, cost $7,100 with a 3 year extended warranty. Got home first CD in the CD player was last, it never would come back out. Next, while on vacation in July 09 the car broke down. Had it towed for service and found the warranty would not cover the issue because of a simple missing bolt. Called owner of Mac Auto (Marty) who assured me he would get back to me reference warranty coverage. It is December and I am still waiting for that call. Now I said I bought a warranty which I did, and I bought the highest price most coverage warranty I could so I would not be nickel and dimed. At the time of purchase I was told that the warranty covered everyhting in the paperwork I was handed. Well come to find out there are other ""LEVELS"" of coverage in the paperwork which were not explained. I looked it over quickly and saw coverage for the major items of concern, they were there so I did not hesitate purchasing the warranty. Then I was told I did not purchase the level of warranty that covered everything in the papaerwork, talk about being mis-lead. Since that service $500 the car has been in for power steering and oil leaks. The power steering leak was suppose to be fixed when I took delivery of the car, I was told that leak destroyed the front control arm bushings $871 plus the power steering hoses $200. Now the check engine light is on. The Nissan service department tells me the motor and transmission appear to have been changed out being replaced by ""pick-a-part"" replacements. But the main problem is when this replacement happened the wiring harness was pulled so tight it is causing shorts in the main wiring harness and and computer, $3200. I was told by Mac Auto they do not check any of that out prior to the sale of their cars. ""We buy them and turn them."" I was told when I went back to Mac Auto my 2003 is in better shape now than when I purchased it and they will give me $2,000 in trade for a different car. Yes, I might not be able to sell this car, but the last thing I am going to do is ""BUSINESS"" with this used car dealer. Don't be a sucker like me. I just want to warn people of this used car dealership. The old cliche fits about used car salesmen there. I would have been better off buying a new KIA with a full warranty than to put any trust in these people. They will not help if there is any problem. Be very aware. I told them on my last visit how unhappy I was, did it make a difference, nope they got there money. Pros: None I can think of Cons: Once you are out the door, you are out the door - sucker more
