Are you looking for really great tasting BBQ? Then this is one of those places. The first thing about Lucille's is the line. They serve great BBQ, and if you come during prime eating time, expect to wait an hour or so. Inside the restaurant it is really crowded. I think it adds to the great atmosphere for a BBQ restaurant. The nice waitress led us the our tables and she politely served me and my friends. I ordered the ribs, even though they were kind of expensive. When I got the ribs, I was glad I ordered them. I never tasted any ribs so juicy, tender, sweet, tasty, and powerful at the same time. It melted and sank in my mouth everytime I took a bite. I did get a bit messy, but you should expect to get messy whenever you order ribs. I must say, the ribs were literally grilled to perfection. The ribs will cost around 22 to 25 bucks, but it's well worth it. The restaurant also serves half a chicken, combo platters, and other kinds of bbq which will cost around 20 bucks. They also serve sandwiches and soups as well. You can expect to pay around 10 to 13 bucks for one of their delicious sandwiches. Lucille's Bar B Que has absolutely amazing ribs! The spicey BBQ sauce is also absolutely to die for. Be sure to buy a bottle on your way out. Lines can indeed get long during peak times such as during weekend dinners. But during lunch times, there is hardly any wait at all. Meals aren't on the cheap side; but this is a BBQ house, so you can't expect a mcdonald's price meal. more

The BEST BBQ in california,, hands down. Their pulled poork is incredibly. Their tri-tip is irresistable. And the entrees come with all the fixins like peanut slaw, hush puppies, and collard greens. There is a definite lack of goood BBQ in ccalifornia and the 2-3 hour wait at the doooor is ample proooof oof thiss -- and the resaurant is HUGE!!! Is it worth the wait. Yes it is. My recommendation is that you put your name on the list, walk across the street and see a movie, then come bacck. It's a bit pricey, but the sandwhich menu has all the BBQ the dinner menu has, just slapped between two pieces of bread., more

lucilles is one of those higher class restaurants, as this one was located at the towne center. the place itself is very nice, ideal with romantic couple meals or family dinners. the food is great. hamburgers, steaks, etc are all good. service is great too, they give free cake if it is your birthday. however, all this comes at a steep price. a steak dinner will run about $40. hamburgers are less, under $20. But still, its a very classy restaurant. recommended if you aren't on a budget. more

Every time I seem to drive by this place, it is packed. The weekends are the worst with a line of people outside. Parking can be difficult to find in the Long Beach Town Center, although they do offer valet (not sure if it is free). I find the food here average, although they serve large portions. My meal came cold once, and I had to have them reheat it. Service is just okay. Not sure why this place is so darn popular! more
