Lima Towing

Wow.. to say that I was unfriendly that in itself is a lie. Do you not remember me going above and beyond to help you? I wrote down step by step what you needed to do because I wanted to make sure that you did it correctly so you would not have to go back and forth. I also looked up the hospital phone number for you so that you can get the process started. I was helping your wife and you for more than half an hour. So say what you like but do not lie. You did also fail to mention that we re-towed the bike to your house at a discounted rate. The $206.25 is because our hourly rate is $160 at an hour in a half what does that total?. Our office is open from M-F from 8am-5pm. Anything after that there is a gate fee that applies to all customers. more

My son was in a motorcycle accident on Saturday. His bike was towed to Lima which was 3 miles from the accident site. The driver lied to my husband and said that they were closed for the weekend so we couldn't do anything until Monday. We went on Monday just to get a bunch of crap. The girl who was not freindly told us that we had to get my son to sign some paper and that we had to have a nurse call from the hospital to give her a fax number. She said that my son could not call her or write something on his own to release the bike to us. It was so difficult to get his bike out. She gave us the run around just so they can make more money off of us! They told us that we had to come back and pay the gate fee of 80.00 dollars. They would not give us a amount of the cost. We asked a half of dozen times what the cost was and no one gave us a straight answer. When we went back that night the driver said yes they are open 24 hours. We were pissed! Than we got the bill and we were furious! Lima Towing charged my poor son who can't help himself 206.25 to tow his bike to their facility which is 3 miles or less from the accident site. Than it was 165.00 for storing it there for 3 days because of their dishonest employees who told us that they were closed! Than there was the gate fee of 80.00. The bill came to 536.25!!!!! I going to make a complaint against them to the better business bureau. What a rip off company and so dishonest!!!!! Please if you can use another company if you need a tow. If your in a accident and your forced to deal with these uncaring ripoff people than God be with you to help. more

I had my car towed and the driver was excellent. I got into an accident first one ever and he was helpful as far as giving instructions what to do. I had my laptop, gucci glasses and wallet in there with cash and credit cards. Everything was there. The ladies in the office were very helpful to me. I had a good experience hopefully my last time seeing them due to the curcumstances but they were very good people. I would definately recomend them to my friends and family more

Bunch of CROOKS. Tell you they are closed when they are mandated to be open. Extortionists, Mean and Rude. Never, never use them. Pros: Worst customer service Cons: Not a good thing to say, Bad Bad Company more

I was standed by the side of the road, and the owner of the company came and picked me up personally and hauled my car (blown hose) over to a mechanic off of San Thomas Expressway. She was very polite and very fair with me. I would call them again if I were stranded on the side of the road and in the area. Pros: Owner very friendly and very fair more

Stupid is Stupid… last night was a good example of it. I parked where I should not have and got towed. All well and good, so I got the place where my truck was and called. This was very early in the morning, hence they were closed and I got the answering service. I inquired what the cost would be to pick up my truck. She told me 100.00 for towing, 50.00 for storage and 80.00 for the gate fee. Wow! Ok, that’s alright, I was at fault. Deciding not to pay the gate fee, I went to pick it up late in the day. When I was given my receipt he said 210.00 are due. Hey now! Last night I was told 100 for towing 50 for storage and 80.00 for the gate. Now you are telling me it is 160.00 for the towing. This was at 4.30 and they close at 5pm. Had I not of had the money and just came with what I was told the night before, I might have to go get more thus missing the 5pm closure. Then it would have been another 50.00 for storage. Come you guys; let’s get your story straight. Not with standing all that took place to get me there. The employee's working there were very cold and callous. Hey, you just took a lot of my money, which by the way, I think is far too much for towing. At least be friendly and make sure the people who work for you know your pricing.\r Should I ever need a towing company, I would not call this one. Pros: they know where its parked. more

13 days $930 bucks, my friends car got impounded for 30 days and payed about the same amount. These guys are scam artists! actually i take that back there isn't anything artistic about them, they just pray on people who make mistakes and charge them up the butt for it. i looked into the rates for santa clara 2008 it states 40 bucks a day they charged me 50, the lady said they got new contracts with the sheriff and the rates went up, so i asked if i could see it and she rudely said no, and told me i had to contact the sheriffs office. So i contacted the sheriffs office and they said that i had to go to the towing company. YOU GUYS NEED TO USE BETTER BUSINESS ETHIC!!! I BET THE GUY DOWN HERE THAT GAVE U A GOOD RATING PROBABLY WORKS FOR YOU OR LIMA TOWING PUT IT THERE THEMSELVES, WHY ELSE WOULD HE BE SO OFFENDED THAT SOMEONE ELSE GAVE YOU A BAD RATING, AND YOU NEVER MENTIONED YOUR PRICE FOR SUCH EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! i had my car towed to there yard a couple of days they were great they even went out of the way to give me a ride home. I work for an insurance company and spend a large portion of my day working with tow yards and body shops. These guys will not let an insurance representative look at your car until you (the owner) has signed paperwork to release the vehicle. \r \r This ultimately delays your claim b/c your insurance company cannot look at your car until you go to the tow yard. They don't care if you were hurt, live out of town - they just quote policy and say that's the way its always been. \r \r No other tow company has this policy. As I see it - Lima's Towing trys to extract every penny of storage charges by making it difficult on both the owner and insurance company to have the vehicle inspected.\r \r If the police call these guys to your accident - decline their service and call Cupertino Towing (in Santa Clara), Finish Line Towing, Bill's Towing, Ellison's Towing, Delta Twoing or Motor Body. These are all better alternatives to these guys. Cons: customer unfriendly policies more
