You get what you pay for 11/29/2005

I love La Frontera. I order the same thing almost every time (chile verde in some form or another). When I need the grease, I'll order the small or large combination. It's not fancy, the ambiance is shady at best, but it's consistently good and extremely affordable. Pros: Consistent, Many Locations, Inexpensive Cons: Bathrooms, Ambiance more

Best Mexican! 11/8/2005

On business in Salt Lake I looked for a place serving up the kind of chile-based food I used to get in New Mexico. La Frontera surpassed every expectation. Best place I have been for true flavorful heat. I had enchilada w/red sauce, tamale, chile relleno; it was heaven on earth. Not fancy but they're feeding the folks who work in an industrial area and anyone else smart enough to find them. more

My Favorite Mexican Restaurant 2/8/2003

La Frontera serves the best mexican food I have ever tasted. I have been coming here for years. This place has no atmosphere, but the food is deliciously authentic, the portions are very generous, and it is very inexpensive. In fact, I don't think anything on the menu is priced over $10. I usually order the large combination. Pros: Great Food, Inexpensive Cons: No Atmosphere more
