I spent my entire sophmore year and part of freshman ordering DP Dough so I know where the addiction comes from. But there are much better calzones in Amherst. A Place like DP Dough should be king, but their portions are half the size of Brunos or Pinnochios and more expensive as well (unless they have coupons). Either way its not worth it. You can taste the difference in the meats they use at Pinnochios/Brunos compared to DP Dough. I personally stopped ordering from DP Dough (with much hesitation at the time) because 50% of the time I would get strange items in my chicken. It's also a well known fact that while DP Dough people are generally nice over the phone, they also act like coke heads and sometimes screw up your orders. Conclusion? Head to Brunos for your calzones. Theyre monstrous, cheap, and oh so good. more

not beer, but ordering out from DP dough, dominos, and wings. haha. DP dough has a wide variety of calzones, eggplant, chicken, steak, four cheeses. my favorite is the construction zone which is you get to pick four items on a LONG list. it's great. i usually had the breaded chicken, peppers, mushrooms, and onions. YUM. the dough for the calzone is addicting and fresh. the sauce they give you is delicious. enough for a dinner and a snack. and it's only like six bucks or something. there were coupons online too, like 2 for $10. even better. more

This place was meant for a college town. Whatever you want you can have in the form of a calzone and they will deliver it to your door. This take out joint was meant for Amherst. My personal favorite is the spinach and feta calzone. It has tons of garlic and they give you a sauce to dip it in. It is heaven. more

If you can imagine it, you can eat it. I have never seen a more varied assortment of calzones and potential calzone ingredients in my life. During the beginning of my freshman year at UMass a DP Dough menu arrived at my door and things were never the same again. They have a massive variety of pre-configured calzones, or you can choose your own fillings and create your own masterpiece. They are huge and one can easily get two meals out of one calzone. They deliver as well, which is always a bonus. more

D P Dough has good quality food available for deliever around most hours of the clock, which is great for the local Amherst college students who are staying up late to study. But its deliveries can sometimes be taking a way too long a while, and even mixed up orders for the customers. more

Anyone who has went to UMASS or the surrounding colleges has heard of this place. It's a food group around there. I past my student days, but every time I go to Amherst I try to stop and get a calzone. They have every kind you can imagine; all different pizza toppings or others like Philly cheese steak, Mexican, chicken cordon bleu and the list is over 30 long. I believe it's under five dollars for a calzone. I ask them to cook mine light so I can heat it up when I get home. They are located behind CVS in Amherst center. more
