If you can imagine it, you can eat it. I have never seen a more varied assortment of calzones and potential calzone ingredients in my life. During the beginning of my freshman year at UMass a DP Dough menu arrived at my door and things were never the same again. They have a massive variety of pre-configured calzones, or you can choose your own fillings and create your own masterpiece. They are huge and one can easily get two meals out of one calzone. They deliver as well, which is always a bonus.

After having driven past it for years I finally stopped in when a craving for a chicken parm sub took control. And am I glad I did. Their menu includes pizza, hot and cold subs, salads and more. Everything I have tried is great. The guys who work there are friendly. And if they have any baklava left when you get there pick up a piece...trust me on this!

Good food? Check. Friendly service? Check. Massive menu that makes it extremely hard to make up your mind? Check. Low prices? Check. I can't find anything wrong with The Prime Deli except for the fact that it closes earlier than I would wish when I get a later craving! They offer breakfast and hot and cold entrees and sandwiches.

Who needs Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks? Not Amherst. Rao's is a small coffee shop with a big following. They make a variety of coffees and coffee based drinks and have an excellent selection of teas as well. This is also a great destination for a snack and studying. Seating is limited, so be prepared to wait, or plan on sitting on one of several outside benches.

For a special occasion in a college town, it might be difficult to find that special place. Not in Amherst. This is truely a gem. The ambiance is lovely with just the right amount of lighting and candles on the tables. And the food...wow. My personal favorite is the risotto. Often times the texture is mushy, but here is is perfect. While this is a slightly pricey choice, it is well worth it. The portions are generous and the quality is amazing. They have a full wine list and bar. And don't forget to leave room for dessert. The creme brule is a masterpiece.

Hospitals are not fun places. I sincerely doubt that anyone will argue with that fact. However, when you do need to attend one, it is good to know that when you get there the people will be friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. They will put even the most nervous patient at ease with their kindness. The one downfall is the parking garage with its lack of space for the amount of cars coming in.
