first off, any chinese restaurant that serves american food (i.e. steak, french fries, hamburgers) is not a real chinese restaurant, but this restaurant was recommended to me so i tried it. i just moved out here from new jersey and chinese is a staple in our community so i was excited to try it out here. ive been to three separate restaurants so far and nothing could qualify as chinese food. kowloons was a nightmare to say the least. we started off with egg drop soup that tasted like a bad cup of campbell's chicken noodle. we got our meal with a cup of hot mustard and ketchup??? ive never eaten ketchup at a chinese restaurant but i shrugged it off and began my meal. the spare ribs were mostly fat, the lo mein or chow mein whichever you prefer, was not cooked thoroughly and was crunchy, my beef was white, bordering on clear. im sorry for all the fans of this restaurant, but i will continue my search for authentic chinese cuisine in the salt lake area.
