Do Feed the Ducks 4/14/2006

Ever since my two boys where young, we loved to visit Kingwood Center and feed the ducks. We bring our own shelled dried corn (found at Sandy Hill for a couple of dollars per bag) and that lasts a lot longer when feeding all the hungry ducks. I love to visit the greenhouse. They have beautiful plants for sale at very reasonable prices. The trails to hike on are a lot of fun and we always get a laugh from the peacocks strutting their stuff! They sure are beautiful! more

Lovely Gift Shop 2/2/2006

Located inside the main building is a lovely little gift shop that specializes in garden gifts and little garden related gifts. There is bird jewelry, work aprons, garden sculptures, books and more are available from the gift shop. Also note that the Greenhouse has annual sales of plants. Check their website for dates and times. And finally there are the special events held at the out building. Everything from Rock shows to Dulcimer concerts. Again, check the Kingwood Center website for event dates and times. There is more here than just gardens. Oh, yes, you can also walk around and just enjoy the gardens. more

Relaxing Place to see Beautiful Flowers 9/20/2005

Kingwood Center is not only free but a wonderful place to go and relaxing and feed the ducks surrounded by many flowers. Many have their wedding pictures taken here. more
