More
Built in 1926, Kingwood center is 47 acres of house and gardens open to the public. It is a bequest of Mr. Charles King, who left it to the city of Mansfield.
Besides the house, which is of interest for its architectural and historical viewpoint, the gardens and the greenhouse is what draws the public year round.
The gardens are beautifully laid out, rose gardens, annuals, perennials, tree lined walks and fountains. There is a lovely common building where local events are held, such as flower shows and concerts. And the greenhouse, besides having some unique and unusual plants, hold several plant sales each year that benefit the foundation.
Weddings are common on the grounds, and there is a large bird pond which attracts children wanting to feed the ducks or swans. There are also peacocks and guinea hens running around loose. And, of course, there is the wonderful smelling herb gardens on the terrace outside the main house.
There are two main parking lots, offering lots of parking and a gift shop is at the main house.
Do make it a point of stopping in to this locally historical house and well maintained and peaceful gardens. A lovely place to spend a Sunday afternoon. Best of all ... it's FREE!!

I recently needed to pick up some stamp collecting supplies, and called Willard on the outside chance they also handled stamp supplies. The very courteous woman on the phone informed me they did, and they also had the supplies I needed in stock.
There is plenty of parking in the lot. The store is well laid out; you can see everything from the front of the store. There are chairs for customers to sit in while they examine their potential purchases. My supplies were clearly marked and easy to find. I also found one of US State Quarters collection maps I had been looking for but had found only as a very expensive item. This one was reasonably priced and I purchased it for the collection of state quarters I had been putting together.
The staff is knowledgeable and my purchase was quickly handled. They were friendly and courteous. I will be going back there for any more supplies I may need for stamps or coins. A nice store and very pleasant staff.

This is actually the business name for the Richland County Fairgrounds. Fairhaven Hall is the headquarters and the organization that runs the Fairgrounds.
The Richland County Fair is held here every year. This is the livestock and food event held usually in August, with many contests and attractions for young and old. A must for the locals and a bit of local color for those visiting the area.
Once a month there is the Flea Market. We always get out for the flea market and with three halls to fill, there is lots to look at.
The most anticipated event for the whole family is the annual Christmas Lights display. A huge outdoor display of Christmas Lights, music and good cheer. Not to be missed.
There is always food, the restrooms are clean and well attended and the parking is ample. We always have a good time when we visit the Fairgrounds.

I like to fishing here with my dad. We went on Fathers Day this year and he had to get a lisence that day. We were standing there talking about whether or not to rent a boat right in front of the shop keeper. He could have told us that the boat rental was closed that day but he didn't say anything. The scenery is beautiful and it's fairly quiet. I didn't catch any fish but I'm sure they're out there somewhere.

I went in here looking for some card covers and found this store sells more than just baseball cards.
They have cards for every sport, cards from all different manufacturers and more cards that, to be honest, I didn't know what they were all about.
While I didn't find my covers, I did browse for a bit and look at all the different offerings. Baseball, football, hockey, it's all here. If you are into sports cards, this is the place in town to go.
I also notices some coins for collectors if your interest lies there.
I don't know much about price. But there were lots of folks around that Saturday afternoon buying cards.
There is parking outside in a lot, so you don't have to park on the busy street. The store is well lit, and the staff seemed friendly enough.
If ya love sports cards, this is the place.

They also have the usual assortment of candy. This is a very convenient location and if you do find yourself downtown and need the Columbus or Cleveland papers, drop in here and pick one up.

Park Lanes is conveniently located, provides ample parking and there seems to be plenty of lanes available if you don't get there on League night. We always are able to get shoes in the right sizes and there is a large offering of various sized bowling balls.
There lanes are well kept, the equipment seems to be always in a good state of repair and there is also a bar/snack bar and there are pool tables available.
Nice bowling alley, the staff is pretty nice and it's a fun, affordable afternoon for the family.

Just recently visited this store for the first time in several years and I must say that not much has changed. Found what I was looking for in the soccer area. The prices seemed to be very reasonable on the two items I purchased. Both of which were new, not used. I noticed a lot of other sports equipment available that was used. Everything from skateboards to golf balls to exercise bikes and weights. The staff was not very helpful as he was on the personal phone call the entire time and I had a question.
