James Pearson Day-Spa Salon

Can't really believe the good reviews! There is no receptionist to answer phone most of the times and if answered are very rude! Even scheduling an appointment is such a task! Shame a salon can't appoint friendly person to answer telephone, Barbara was rude! Going to a Spa should be relaxing and friendly from the very first encounter, unfortunately my experience wasn't. This place hasn't be updated for a long time, it doesn't have a relaxing atmosphere. I have never ever seen Spa staff wearing unkempt ill fitting clothes with dirty trainers and the facial performed staff's fingers were smelly! What a nightmare! more

So I don't typically do this, but if no one has told you guys... I feel I should. Really nice people at your salon, everyone was friendly... Your front desk people could be a little more friendly and upbeat, but besides that, really nice people. Here is what I would reccomend to the owner, so everyone in the future can have a pleasant experience; Update, update, update.... I feel like I've been thrown back 20 years when I walk in. Plastic covered couches? Really? Doesn't scream comfort to me. Clean up. You have junk in every corner. Just get rid of it. Front desk.... Please call me back when I leave a message. At least within 24 hours, if not after the weekend if that's the case. You're losing easy business by not calling me back... Makes no sense. Fill your shelves with hair products, or get rid of them. It just looks weird when some are there and some are not... Unfinished. Be professional. Period. Appreciate us. We are your clients. You are here for us, not the other way around. Make me feel that. Get change. Seriously. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT argue in front of clients. I've seen it right in front of me. It's awkward.... I want to be relaxed,Not thrown in an awkward situation while I'm relaxing at the spa. If you're going to post reviews about yourself, try not using so many exclamation points. It's obvious. Listen, you have a great group... Give them a wonderful place to work and they will be happier.... Happier always equals more profitable. Make them excited again.... And hire a decorator. ASAP. more

I just went into the Salon, and I met a really lovely lady named Shirley. I have been to a lot of salons in St. Louis, and this is the best french manicure that I have ever gotten. It is still holding up, and usually they chip right off. I have found my spot for my manicures. more

It is always a pleasure to come to your salon. In the last few months, Jeannie has done an exceptional job of styling my hair. Caroline does a great shampoo, etc. Dottie also is a wonderful manicurist. You have a loyal following of our business. more

Rhonda has been coloring my hair for years. I left for a short while and tried a different salon/colorist, and my hair never looked as good. I've gone back to Rhonda and while the color does take a while to apply, she takes her time and does a very good job. She is also very personable & friendly. There are a LOT of older women who go to this salon, but it's not too snooty that you ever feel uncomfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend my stylist. more

Staff was so friendly and accomodating - I made a last minute appointment and they greeted me with a smile. Service and price were excellent. Waxing service was well worth the price and drive. She took away any anxiety I had. more

I went to James Pearson as it was close to my work and the facial I had helped melt my stress away. They have great Yonka products that made my skin feel so soft and silky. I love this place and would recommend it to everyone. The staff are very friendly. more

I was very pleased at my experience at James Pearson. The staff at Pearsons is very friendly and professional. I have been going there for about 14 years now. I go to Shirley for my manicures/pedicures. She is very professional and takes great pride in her work. It definitely shows. I get compliments all of the time on my nails (to think I didn't have any when I started). She is so talented!! Her area is so neat and clean. I know her utensils are as well. She is well worth her price and more. I can't thank her enough!! more

I walked in today, just killing time while my wife and mother were shopping at Plaza Frontinac. I did not want to go there. So I decided to get my hair cut. The stylist that cut my hair was wonderful, made me feel that the salon was there just for me. She spent a lot of time cutting my hair and I have an easy cut. But I could tell by looking around that everybody was made to feel that this was their time and would not be rushed. I will go there again and have convinced my wife to try them. You can do it all there. Facial, tanning, hair, massage, etc. I continue to go there because of the services and the friendly staff. It is located in Frontenac, so good area. The facials are wonderful and I love my hair stylist. more

You should expect great service and friendly smiles here, along with a variety of spa treatments and salon services. You will not be disappointed here with anything, as the staff is very good at what they do. However, you will pay more for the services than you would at some other popular spas in the area. It's in Clayton/Frontenac, so you should expect that. It is worth it though, because once you have visited once, you probably will go back again. more
