great food, great people 11/28/2006

I highly recommend this restaurant. It changes its menu every 6 months, and it always has something new for me to try. The atmosphere is great as well as the staff. more

Solid Chain Food 9/4/2005

Not your average Joe's is a good fall back place to get something to eat when your party is looking for the chain restaurant experience. The dipping oil is delicious, but the entrées can be hit or miss. more

Not Your Average Joe's definitely isn't average! 8/30/2005

Right off the bat, the staff was very pleasant, even though my friend and I went in fairly late at night close to closing time. We never felt rushed. The food was quickly prepared and was very good. The bread and oil was brought right at the beginning with our drinks and was fresh and tasty. Not Your Average Joe's will appeal to all ages, and seems like a fun place to meet for a drink or dinner date, or to watch the Sox game at their bar. Easy to get to on Mass Ave, this is definitely reccomended! more

A twist on the old favorites 8/18/2005

Not Your Average Joe's is a local chain that set up shop in Arlington about three years ago. One of the only large family style restaurants with a bar in the area, Not Your Average Joe's caters to all eaters with a moderately sized menu. Their brick oven pizzas are a particular highlight with lots of choices and daily specials. The desserts are particularly good although you are usually so stuffed at the end of the meal you can barely fit one in. The homemade focaccia bread and olive oil mixture diners get pre-meal is a nice touch. The staff is pleasant and eager to serve. more
