I have been to Rialto twice now and have enjoyed both times equally. They change their menu with the seasons, so there is always something new to enjoy. Their curried escargot with tagiatelle (sp?) is such a different way to enjoy escargot and a real treat. I've also enjoyed their bar nuts immensely and highly recommend stopping by and getting a drink just to enjoy the nuts!

I love Cathy at the Park West Salon in Arlington, she is an awesome stylist. She also is a great colorist as well. I would follow her to the ends of the earth so that my hair stays this way!! The environment is very friendly and there is a lot of knowledge there.

We went to the Eastern Standard because it looked like a really cool place to go and the room is beautiful and I love that it has an outdoor patio. But that's where the positives end. Our server came by once and we never saw her again. She took our drink order and let it sit at the bar for over 20 minutes before we asked another server if those were our drinks. We ordered food and it was very mediocre for the price. Would not go back there again.

I can't say that I've been here for any other meal except for Sunday Brunch. They have a great Jazz brunch on Sunday that will help to slow down the last day of the weekend. There are no reservations, so while you are waiting they have papers strewn about to keep you occupied. The brunch food is delicious and filling. Their pumpkin pancakes with cream cheese butter were to die for. They have all sorts of savory brunch items as well and their homemade sausage is great. Definitely try them out one sunday afternoon.

I love Herrell's and am so glad that I don't live too close in vicinity to it or I would weigh 500lbs! They have very high quality ice cream in a vast variety of flavors to fufill your sweet tooth. They have the best malted vanilla ice cream that I have ever tasted. When I'm feeling extra indulgent, the smoosh-ins are the way to go. They take the ice cream of your choice, put it on a slab and smoosh in candies that you choose (kit kats, nuts, etc). Herrell's is my guilty pleasure!

Now I know that this place doesn't have the most authentic Thai dishes, but the food is really good and most of it is very different from the Americanized Chinese food that you can get in the area. The owner is a great man that is more than helpful, especially if you never had Thai food before. The curry dishes are great as well as the pasta dishes that we have had. Drinks are very cheap, being able to get most bottles of wine for less than 20 dollars.

Kimball's is not just your average ice cream stand, it is this HUGE complex that includes a country store, a miniature golfing course, and bumper boats. It is a great place to take the family which will occupy them for a while. The ice cream is really delicious as well, and they pretty much have any flavor you could want. When fall rolls around, definitely try their homemade apple crisp with butter crunch ice cream...what a treat!

Good sushi is hard to find in the northern suburbs and this place delivers to the best of it's abilities. The owners are Japanese and don't speak English very well, but it adds to the authenticity of the place. They serve a lot of standard Japanese hot meals, but I go for the sushi. They have real sashimi, the raw fish, but I'm more of the fan of all the different types of rolls. And they have a vast selection; anything from the standard California roll to really neat tempura rolls. A place to go for your sushi fix.

They have salads and garlic bread as well along with subs if you are not feeling like pizza. They have many toppings to choose from, their fried eggplant is my favorite. This is a great meal for a large family who needs to eat on the cheap.

JJ Boomers serves typical pub type food. They have a huge bar area to hang out and get drinks and play pool. Also, they have Karaoke, if you are into that type of thing. What is really nice is that they have an outdoor seating area, so when the weather is nice, it is a fun place to get a few drinks or to have a decently priced meal. The food isn't going to win any awards, but it's pretty good and the prices can't be beat.
