Editorial review from Citysearch 12/13/2013

1st restaurant review posted online submitted to emphasize how poor the management and customer service experience was this evening. After having poured soy sauce on my dish I noticed something floating in the plastic sauce dispenser. I take a closer look and ask my mother to do the same. IT WAS VERY CLEARLY A DEAD FLY FLOATING IN THE SAUCE.\r \r 1.) We calmly alerted our waitress, she responded by looking at the sauce, inspecting it & pointing at the floating fly with another waiter, and then offering a new container without apologies.\r \r 2.) An additional staff member comes by to declare ""it is not a bug, it is congee."" We both emphasize it was not a piece of food, and he goes to find the restaurant manager.\r \r 3.) The restaurant manager comes over and we describe what happened. She explains ""That was not a bug. That was a crisp. From congee."" I respectfully disagreed, kept my voice low, and again explained it was not a piece of food in the sauce. She insists, ""Believe me, we clean everyday. It is a crispy, from congee."" **NOTE: She did not offer apologies or any type of changes to our bill. **\r \r **EMPHASIS: WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, IT IS ONE THING TO OFFER VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT IT IS AN ALTOGETHER DIFFERENT MATTER TO HAVE FOUR RESTAURANT STAFF LEVELS LIE DIRECTLY TO THEIR CUSTOMERS' FACES.** more

Dim sum 4/22/2008

I went on Sunday and it was packed/crownded. People got in line waited for their number to be called. It didn't take very long ~15-20 mins. I dined in for dim sum 1 person but placed many dim sum to to go . My bill cost $105 and it's mandatory leaving tip 10% even I dined alone and ate very little. They went by total bil which I didn't think it's fair. Food was ok but I had it better in Houston and Cleveland, China town. The price...a bit pricy as well and I won't go back. If U look for service..more sauce, napkins, etc,... it's hard to find eye contact because it's so busy. If U ready to check out/pay bill, it's fast because they need to make new table for other customers. FYI. more

I visited on Sept 16 for lunch at 11:15 and was seated very promptly. After I had ordered some tea the Dim Sum carts came through before I knew it. The food was very fresh appetizing to the eye. My experience there was very positive, even my trip to the restroom. I can usually judge a restaurants cleanliness by their restrooms. I am happy to say their restrooms were very clean. Pros: Varity of Dim Sum, Bathroom Cleanliness, Location Cons: Parking, Price more

Extremely rude service 7/30/2005

We got there about 10:45 am Saturday morning. The restaurant was almost empty. The waiter came to our table and started taking order. I ordered 2 for myself and my wife. We later ordered a big bowl of congee as our soup. Then the dim sum cart came out so we grabbed a bunch of them and requested for red vinegar. All of requests were taken by the same person. Coming with red vinegar, the waiter said to us. ""Next time you better think about all you want at ONE time and let me know. I have other tables to take care of, not only your table. This time I don't mind, but don't do it again."" We talked to manager and he said he would talk to the waiter and have him apologize. The waiter refused to do so. Pros: Above average dim sum Cons: Rude service, Parking more

authentic chinese 6/12/2002

If you are looking for American Chinese food, they do have typical mongolian beef, sweet & sour pork, etc. If you are looking authentic southern chinese banquet food, this is definitely a great place to go. The have pretty extensive menu and the food is tasty. Service is pretty good the couple times we were there. more
