Milpitas Golf Land is one of the only true gaming arcades left in the Bay Area. Unlike Chuck E. Cheese and most mini golf establishments, Milpitas Golf Land (MGL for short) makes sure to provide great family entertainment while not compromising its appeal to older high school and college students.
Their arcade is divided into two separate buildings… The first contains mostly children’s games, usually redemption games where kids can earn tickets and exchange them for candy and other prizes. It also features a pizza parlor.
The second contains arcade games that are suited for a more mature audience. Fighting game classics like Street Fighter and Tekken can be found there, as well as popular driving simulations like Initial D Arcade Stage and Maximum Tune. Management also does a very good job of keeping their arcade current, and regularly installs new arcade machines when new video games are released. In some cases, they even make sure their arcade has several copies of popular machines such as racing games so that their customers won’t have to wait too long to play their favorite titles.
Perhaps the best thing about MGL are their specials. They regularly have specials such as unlimited arcade play for a flat fee of $5-$10 on weeknights. Saturday mornings they hold double token promotions, slashing the cost of game tokens in half. MGL also has great package deals of pizza, soda, and tokens.
If you’re a hardcore gamer, MGL is definitely the perfect place to kill a few hours gaming. Their mini golf and pizza aren’t bad either, and their prices are always fair. Definitely give this place a try if you’re ever in the Milpitas area.

I've been attending Edgies since I was a junior in high school. It is a great place to play pool; however, it can be pretty crowded on weekend nights. Still, it has the perfect setting for pool. It offers music and refreshments. Also if you're tired of playing pool, you can pay to use their computers to play games or just browse the net. One of my favorite things about Edgies is that they offer student discount rates, which lets any amount of players play for six dollars an hour. Overall I highly recommend Edgies if you're ever interested in pool.

Roller skating is making a big comeback! Cal Skate is really packed on the weekends, usually because practically every rugrat under 12 has to have a birthday party here. It is rowdy, noisy, and busy, but that sometimes makes it all the more fun. People thought Cal Skate would have died out a long time ago during the inline skating/roller blading breakout, but it is keeping itself rooted right where it stands. There is something nostalgic about roller skating on four wheels around a wooden rink to the tunes of 1980's rockers.

One of the biggest malls in the bay area, The great Mall of the bay area represents some of the best shopping time of all time featuring shops for clothes, jewellery, Furniture, Shoes and utensils . Has food court boasting restauarants from India, China, Mexico, Meditaranean, italian among other places. Has kids playstations as well. Features some of the biggest clothing giants like GAP, Nike, reebok among others. A complete mall for all your needs.

Considering that this theatre was built not to long ago, it is a good place to catch a movie because when you're waiting for it to start you can just go shopping!
The theatre is relatively clean, they have an arcade (like many cinemas) and seats are comfortable.
Cons: Hard to find parking, if you go on the weekend it gets so crowded that often times the movies are sold out, tons of high school and junior high kids everywhere.

You can't beat a $3 movie in the bay area! The theatre is usually pretty quiet too and plays older movies that have been out a while. It's a great chance to get out and see a movie in the theatre setting without having to pay $10 and fight the crowds. Also a great way to catch up on some of the films you missed!

I would say this is a fun place to go and hang out with friend or a family. I know when my friends and I go back to San Jose from wherever we attend school, we always like to go to Golfland no matter how old we are. That is because it is a fun activitiy where it is not so loud that you can't hear your friends talking and it doesn't require you to do a lot of eating either. The two courses are fun and they have an arcade in there as well.

Great selection of things for kids to adults and prices are average, I would say. Customer service can be hard to find though because their aren't many staff that are around, or that have time to help out. Other than that, cool store.

Spring Valley is a great place to golf. With eighteen different holes in their golf course and a variety of choices offered for lunch and breakfast, Spring Valley is an excellent place to just relax. The staff is very courteous and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone interested in golf and looking for some fairly challenging holes to play.
