First off, we were blessed by the weather! Blue sky, upper 60's, no wind. And then, midweek on a Wednesday, very few people. Too bad for GI, but wonderful for us. We didn't have t...

I thought the grounds were very nice. I had a 50 minute facial scheduled for 12. The facialist didn't call me back to the room till 12:15 then my facial latest only 45 minutes. I ...

Good Value 12/5/2005

Glen Ivy has it all, and it's reasonable! It's a spa to spend a day with friends, just kicking back, relaxing. I had a great facial, and loved the Grotto! more

spa salon at glen ivy hot springs 10/6/2005

first of all, let me say, i love spas... then let me say i love this spa! i have had the various different types of full body massages, i have had the facials, also varying forms, and manicures and pedicures. they also have a lot more services available but i haven;t gotten around to trying those yet. the salon is beautiful... they make it very peaveful and seren. it is quiet and elegant. i believe services are seperated into different areas... it's been a few months since i have had time to take off for a whole day... i believe the last time was when my cousin got married and a group of girls went... but that sure was fun! more

Great spa 9/9/2005

I really enjoy visiting Glen Ivy. Their prices are competitive, although I do not like having to pay the $35 admission. There is only one package that admission is included, and that is the all day spa package. The grotto is worth visiting once, it is an additional $20 but it takes you down in an elevator where mud is brushed on you. It is a rather unique spa experience. As for traditional services, they are big on the mud. A lot of mud inspired services, which is fun and different. Massages are wonderful, their staff is very professional. more

Relax for a day! 8/31/2005

If you are looking for a relaxing day, Glen Ivy is for you. Nestled in the Cleveland National Forest is the Glen Ivy Hot Springs Day Spa. It is a gorgeous landscape with champagne spas, sulfur baths, mud baths, a lap pool and every luxury you could wish for. Spend an hour and get a shiatsu massage, or the glen ivy facial. It is well worth the time and money. You can visit their web page at www.glenivy.com for pricing, details, and all the info you need! more

A day of relaxation 8/21/2005

Glen Ivy is an incredible day spa that offers a unique experience unlike any other in southern California. The property offers several pools (one for floating and relaxing, another for swimming and water aerobics), hot tubs, saunas and an awesome pool filled with red clay called Club Mudd. They also have all the spa services you expect, like manicures, pedicures, massages and various skin treatements. A new addition to the service menu is the Grotto, an underground facility where guests are covered with sea kelp and invited to relax as long as they want. (This is an extra $20 and requires no reservation which makes it great for those who want a little extra service without breaking the bank). They also have a cafe onsite, along with picnic grounds outside the front gate where many visitors sit under the trees and enjoy homemade fare while they take a break from the relentless relaxation inside. One suggestion -- if you want a massage or other service, schedule early as these appointments book up fast! more

simply amazing 8/21/2005

Most spas have a reputation for accommodating to only the rich and famous, but Glen Ivy Hot Springs most definitely prove that wrong. It’s suitable for everyone and anyone. My wife and I recently went there for the first time on our anniversary and were very impressed with the customer service, the affordable price, and the many amenities it has in store. The new Body Moisturizing Spa treatment at The Grotto is unbelievable. The daily admission includes use of most of their facilities like the spas, pool, lockers, sauna, and even red clay mud bath, which calls for a very relaxing and enjoyable time. A gift certificate for daily admission can make a great gift for any couple. At Glen Ivy Hot Springs, you feel as if you’ve been lifted to a better place. I would recommend coming here to anyone. It’s simply amazing. more

Glen Ivy is the nation's only natural hot springs to offer the purifying benefits of red clay mineral mud baths. Admission price of $30-42 includes use of all pools, sauna, steam room, Roman Baths, Club Mud, towels, and lockers. Spoil yourself by adding on a variety of massages and body treatments. One hot deal is a $20 special where guests have a rich, body moisturizer made of sea kelp and aloe vera applied then relax while the treatment nourishes their skin. more

Fun Place, Good Price. 8/11/2005

I went to this spa with three girl friends. We went on the weekend so it was $48. If you go during the week it is only $35 which is a real bargain. They have different mineral baths, roman baths, mud bath, sunning pool, locker rooms, showers, snack bars, gift shop. For a day out with your girl friends this is a perfect destination (there were men there too). Everyone wears a bathing suit--preferably a bikini because when you do the mud bath you want to get the clay on as much of your body as possible. If you feel strange walking around in a bikini (as I said before there are some men) you can just cover up with a towel when you walk and remove it before you enter a pool. The showers are nice. They provide their line of shampoo and soap (which you will very much need to make use of if you went into the mud bath) for free in the showers. They also provide complimentary towels. Other services are available but they are extra. more

Relax all day 8/11/2005

Me and a classmate went to Glen Ivy on a Saturday afternoon for a relaxing time. We started in the jacuzzi, followed by the water aerobics class, into the mud bath, and finished with a swedish massage. It was a great day of relaxation. I would definetely recommend this for all women! more

High prices 7/18/2005

I said this before but all stores in this area overcharge for supplies. Go to them and find all the stuff you need and write it down and just search on google for it and find it for a lot less. After i left there was a lot of stuff that you dont need here so dont even bother if you dont need to get salon products. more

a corner of paradise 6/10/2005

This Spa is very well known for the great location and the pools filled with mineral salts and such. They have a grotto where (for additional fee) you can have sea kelp painted on your body. They have a lot of pools at different temperatures, saunas, jacuzzi, mud baths... plus massages (not included though in the entrance fee!). A perfect place to relax. Entrance for the whole day is about 45$, worth the price! more

  • The Scene
Steal away to this unpretentious spa to experience the waters that have soothed weary souls since the 1860s. These natural hot springs draw a mostly middle-aged suburban crowd, which means you needn't fret about how last season's swimsuit fits now. Rather than quiet and contemplative, it's more of an upbeat social scene--expect conversations to be struck up all the while as you soak, swim, float and lounge.

    The Services
Admission buys access to the 17 pools and spas on-site, which include the signature red-clay mud bath, a saltwater spa, hot mineral pools and two "champagne" pools--shallow tubs with carbonation-like bubbles floating up from the bottom. Glen Ivy's latest addition is the "Grotto"--an underground treatment area where guests slather on aloe-and-kelp body moisturizer and retreat into the hydrating chamber. Spa treatments and salon services require reservations, but general admission and the Grotto service do not.
