Gepetto's Restaurant

I have been eating at Gepetto's restaurant for over 10 years. Recently, a friend of mine shipped two packages to Gepetto's by accident. The packages contained products from APPLE and were clearly sent to my husband with my husband's name on the label. A server there by the name of Bonnie signed for both packages: Verified after tracking them through UPS. Neither the owner of the restaurant or the server have any idea what happened to the two packages...although they acknowledge that the packages were signed for and held in the basement of the restaurant. My friend and I have made several attempts to claim the packages. I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant, but after this incident, I will never go back, I will no longer recommend this restaurant and I will continue to question their integrity to the loyal customers that have frequented this eatery for years. I recall several years ago when the restaurant was going to close its doors due to lack of patrons. The community flocked Gepetto's in order to save the business. THE COMMUNITY SAVED GEPETTO'S. Unfortunately, the owner of the restaurant has not returned the favor. Instead, they have stolen from one of the patrons....ME...who helped spread the word when the restaurant was in need. Thanks a lot, Gepetto's. I will do my best to spread the word regarding the stealing of two expensive gifts and the lack of loyalty to some of your most loyal patrons. more

wow what happen to this place, tomato paste sandwiches,dirty utensils,watered down drinks, cook making barf-in noise in the kitchen while your trying to eat and walking through a sea of smoke when you leave the place from the cooks out front. We won't be back more

I recently ate at Gepettos after being a customer there for over 15 years. I recently have had the worst service, dishonest servers and terrible food. I always told everyone, ""wanna try great pizza? Try Gepettos!"" I will never tell someone that ever again. I would not recommend Gepettos to anyone! more

I was here on 11/6 for brunch. A friend and I had wanted to try something new so we stopped here because it looked so cute. It was a horrible experience from beginning to end. The waiter was the only one there and though he only had a few tables, we saw almost nothing of him. Any time he had to come to the table, he was very short with us and in a hurry. Never came back to see how our food was, never refilled my coffee, nothing. Neither of us left him a tip which is very rare, but he didn't deserve anything and after the disgusting food we ate, we felt as though our money had been wasted. The food was horrible!! We both ordered the frittata, BIG MISTAKE!!! Overcooked, nothing tasted fresh, it was disgusting. The ""home fries"" tasted exactly like the frozen ones you buy at the grocery store, and the ""biscuit"" looked like a huge piece of white cornbread with no flavor!! We will never be back here. more

Sorry, I couldn't hear you over the music. Yes, they have live entertainment, I'm good with that. But why the hell is it so loud? We were shouting to each other over dinner. That place is small inside and the music is ALWAYS way too loud for dinner conversation over a nice meal. Yes, I will go back because I enjoy the food, but I will continue to have a problem with the loud music. more

My girlfriend and I found this place listening to rock 103.5 KBER and I am glad that we did. After going their a few times and loving it I decided to ask my girlfriend Katy if she would marry me there. This place is a romantic place and thank you for the cozy atmosphere. A few friends of my wife and myself decided to walk over to Gepetto's as we live in the neighborhood. We were greeted right away and then given a table and some menus. We then watched as a couple that entered about 5 minutes after us got drinks and their order placed while we were waiting. Bear in mind, our waitress didn't offer us drinks, or even water. In fact, she didn't even come over to our table, or acknowledge our presence. She spent time helping some other people who were leaving clean up. She checked on 2 other tables. She didn't apologize for being busy, she didn't even stop by at all. After 20 minutes of waiting, we just got up and left, and I don't think they even noticed. This makes me sad, because the food isn't bad. I will not be back. Pros: Great atmosphere, cozy, patio dining, intruiging menu. Cons: Pricey for quality, deplorable service. more

I walked in on a Sunday at 8:30 pm. The lady at the front said what would I like to go. I said,"" I would like a table."" She proceded to warn me that they close in half hour. I asked, ""Should I not eat here?"" She shrugged her shoulders and said, "" I don't know."" Needless to say I walked right back out. If they don't want customers than that's what they'll get. \r \r She also added in that she doesn't come into my work late at night and want me to stay open. I used to work at Nordstrom where I'd keep the restaurant open 10min. after we closed because people who come in there weren't just paying customers, but they were people. And we made a lot of friends that way. more

Went to Gepetto's back when I was a kid, and remember it being lots of fun. The place looks just like I remember it. We had a blast! The waitress cracked us up and really broke the ice, making our night go really well. They were very accomodating when we couldn't decide on a pizza to share by offering to make a half and half. My side was customized with sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, red onions and mushrooms on a creamy garlic sauce, and my date's side was the ""Monstro"", an all meat combination. Called in a take out order today for a half chef salad and garlic bread with cheese for lunch. I have been a loyal customer for years, but this is the first time I was offered avocado and bacon on my salad...didn't even know they offered it. I was a bit sticker shocked by the price when I picked it up, but the server promised I wouldn't be disappointed. Got it home, and layed my eyes on an enormous, beautiful salad with lots of avocado and real bacon crumbles. It was fantastic! I actually called them back and thanked them for it! Worth every penny, and you just can't beat their house dressing. Pros: huge portions, fresh food, friendly crazy servers more

Nasty, Nasty, Nasty. Food,Service and have you seen the public bathroom. A bathroom in a restaurant is a mirror of the kitchen. I ate at this establishment years ago (Back in the late 70's it was fantastic then!) Must be different owners now because it's just plain terrible. I was once there for lunch and my friend had a large rock in her stuffed zucchini. Lucky she didn't break a tooth. I will never go back or recommend to anyone. I have been around the world to many places and I have to say that this little gem in Utah stands out with the best of places in San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and London. This place should be on the travel channel or maybe it already is, who knows. I love this place just like Moab. This the place that all should experience at least once in their life times. I consider myself an EXPERT when it comes to pizza...Gepetto's is by far the best I've ever had. Not too greasy, not too heavy on any one topping, and the sauce was superb...definitely not straight from a can. We had one with canadian bacon, mushrooms, red onions and olives, and one with bacon crumbles, bbq sauce, pineapple and red onions. Couldn't pick a favorite, loved both. First of all, I've never had an experience at a restaurant that was so bad, it merited me writing a warning until now. I went to Gepettos late on a Saturday night with a group of friends, and with the cozy, tucked away feeling of the restaurant, I had high hopes, but I've never been so let down. Gepetto's has a great reputation, and I remembered it being good from 10 years ago, so I gave it a go. I have to say, it was TERRIBLE. You can get better pizza at Domino's, and to me that says a lot. The toppings were fresh enough, and the sauce was a little spicy, but the crust was this soft, flimsy, thick monstrosity. In my opinion, having a terrible crust on a pizza is like putting chocolate frosting on a dog nugget and calling it cake. Pros: None. I've driven by Gepetto's a hundred times and now I'm kicking myself! What a local gem that it seems everyone was aware of but me. Suggest you try the California Garden pizza...heaven on earth!!! We added bacon to ours that added a nice smoky flavor. We also had the Brownie Sundae...Mmmmm...It has to be homemade, I've never had anything so yummy. The atmosphere was great, cozy, dark, live musician. I know where my new hangout is. Pros: Atmosphere, Dessert, Music Cons: What cons? more
