Great Dining Experience 12/11/2006

I enjoy eating here because the meal takes a couple hours. It is definitely an experience. The "All Inclusive" is my favorite- for about $30 you get a series of dishes that include bread, salad, main course, and a plate full of various desserts. The service here has always been impeccable, and is an establishment I visit frequently! Make sure to call ahead for a reservation! more

fondue! 10/6/2005

I love this place and have been taking family and friends here for their birthdays or any time of celebrations. The place is cozy and overlooks the ocean. Their food wonderfully delicious -- especially their appetizers and dessert. appetizers are a fondue of a selection of melted cheeze and seasonings, and you have little pieces of bread, fruits and veggies to dip it with. My favorite part is when they bring out the melted chocolates! They have a selection of white, dark or milk chocolate. Their service is wonderful; if you are not satisfied, they take it away and bring out a whole new arrangement! more

A Fun Place to Eat 10/3/2005

My friends took me here for one of my birthdays and I had a lovely time. If you get the three course meal, you first start off with appetizers you can dip into cheese. For the main course, you cook pieces of meat in chicken or beef broth. Then, as the grand finale, assorted desserts (bananas, apples, pound cake, etc.) are dipped into chocolate... with a bit of sparkling surprise. more

melted cheese and more 8/21/2005

Do you like melted cheese? Or maybe you like to boil your food? Or do you like to pay a lot for your melted cheese or boiled food? Well, if you do, then maybe you like this place. I don’t really understand why people go out for Fondue when you can have it at home. At home, you can have any number of foods with your cheese, but here, you can only pick a subset. Or, if you want many different kind of food with your cheese, then you can expect to pay more. Why bother? more

Fun to try 8/12/2005

Located in downtown La Jolla, this dining experience is quite a treat. Plan ahead if you’re going to try the 3-course meal because it will take 2-3 hours. The first is a cheese dip, followed by the entrée and finished with dessert. The entrée is a broth in which you cook different types of meats and vegetables. My dad likened this to Asian hot pot cooking. Dessert is my favorite part. An assortment of fruit and cakes is perfect for dipping into melted chocolate. Yum. more

Delicious fondue 8/11/2005

Located upstairs in downtown La Jolla, this quiet little restaurant has windows that are always tilted open and a pleasant view of the people walking outside on the streets. The intimate setting is perfect for a date or special celebrations. They offer three course fondue specials that include appetizer, entree, and dessert. The chocolate fondues are also great on their own for an after dinner dessert. more
