First Chinese BBQ

We are American, but travel to China and Hong Kong. This food was delicious! We came with a large group, both Americans and Chinese, and we all really enjoyed it. We ordered about 8 different dishes, all hot, flavorful and huge! eating family style is the way to go. The reviews I read prior gave me an impression that this place would be dark and dingy. well, the shopping center it is in, isnt exactly the fanciest place in town, but once inside... i was surprised. i did not visit the bathroom, but the dining area was decent and clean. the service was just fine! no poor manners from the wait staff and they cleared empty plates quickly... the wait for the food was very short. the price was excellent! about 9$ per person including tip. we will definitely refer our friends who want to eat authentic Chinese/Cantonese food and we will DEFINITELY be back ourselves! more

I gave the food an excellent rating. Love the roasted duck and fried garlic squid its awesome. Rude, whispering waiters and waitresses. Been going there for years and its always the same..never a friendly face, no smiles and don't ask any questions because they don't like that. We order our food and go. We are familiar faces and even we get treated badly. Sad because it really could be more than it is now. Just a hole in the wall with good food but terrible service. more

Is the best in town, no doubt about it. But poor manners. They take only cash and hurry because they need the table. The best thing to do, buy it and take it home. more

The most AUTHENTIC chinese restaurant in Fort Worth - Arlington area. You won't be dissapointed with the food. Poor manner. Consider yourself lucky if the waiter/waitress didn't throw the plates or bowls on your table & nothing spilled on you. For some reason, they are EXTREMELY stingy with sauces, regardless of the size of your orders, but if you argue enough, they'll give it to you. more

DON'T GO THERE!!! It is the WORST service I've ever had. The food is fair but the service is SO TERRIBLE. (I think better go to KING Chinese Restaurant next to. MUCH BETTER THAN HERE.) They don't care who you are and treat you so bad because they thought they already have a lot of customers and they will treat you whatever they want. They never smile when you are ordering and they can get mad easily if you take a little bit longer to think what to order. So, be careful, if you want to go there, please order quickly and don't let them wait too long otherwise they will be angry. Today, I was insulted by the staff just because I asked for the extra stream rice. And that guy shouted to me "YOU CRAZY!, No EXTRA RICE! BUY IT 2 DOLLARS! ". I was shocked!. Why shouldn't he tell me more friendly? Acutally, I don't care for 2 dollars rice eventhough it cost too expensive for only rice. But why he shouted to me. I don't know what to say. Then, I go to talk to the owner but you know what. Not only the owner DID NOT DO ANYTHING!!!!!. but also, said "It is normal for him!!! and we are get used to it" OH MY GOSH!!! SO what, it is normal for him. So what am I supposed to do?? They are so cheap than you expected!! After that, I walk away from this restaurant and never EVER come back again!!!! We drove from okla,city ok. on christmas day to get out of town for the day (we only take off two days per year) and was told to go to this place to eat. we also wanted to shop at some local asian shops in arlington and dallas. my wife is vietnamese and I am american. at the first chinese bbq restaurant my wife asked the male waiter if their was a vietnamese person their to take the order so she could talk about the food and how it was prepared.the waiter very rudely told her there was not and do not ask again,with a very mean look. my son only eats sweet and sour chicken (with no sauce) and fried rice,the chicken was the worst I have ever seen and the rice was good once it came.(45 minutes after we arrived) the waiter very rudely told us there was no rice,three times,I think he got a thrill out of watching our reaction of disbelief. we finally asked a female waiter for help (wich made the male waiter mad) she told us the rice was almost ready to serve, we thanked her for being kind.all the while their was a chinese dude eating with his family and staring at me with an angry look, which I stared back as to say do you have a problem punk! the food was fair,compared to the asian restaurants in okc.we have served food in our buisness for a number of years, and we always give credit when it is deserved.we love eating other peoples cooking and to enjoy companionship with other people in the buisness.but we do not like racists. when it came time to pay at the register area we put our money on the counter and the very white shaded chinese girl ignored us and took the money from three other chinese groups of paying customers before she picked up our money ,she did not say anything nor look at us or anything. we privatly tipped the female waitress and a little on the table and left for good and ever.I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND TO ANYONE TO GO TO A RACIST, INGNORANT BUNCH OF JERKS NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE FOOD IS. more

I absolutely love this place! You know it ahs to be authentic Chinese, when there are mainly Chinese people who come to this restaurant. The service is quick and friendly as well! The most important part is that the food is really good! I always order the same thing, and I am never disappointed! more

Many chinese restaurants toss around the word authentic. First BBQ doesnt, it has no need to. Personally, this restaurant is my choice for the most authentic in the Arlington, TX area. All their food tastes as if it comes from a chinese home rather than a chinese fast food kitchen at the mall. From BBQ Pork to sesame chicken to fried rice to crispy noodles, definitely give First Chinese BBQ a shot! (this is not a buffet) more
